I had this error a while back. I opened up my box and fixed it. then it happened again. So I'm sure that I'm out of luck. I think that I will try anyway. Why? Because I called up Microsoft and they told me it was out of warranty. So I think that I might be able to fight with them on this. Will not hurt to try though.
I got a similar error on my PS3, broke the seal, and dove in as well...
Oh, wait a minute! PS3 doesn't get errors and break on a daily basis like Micro$haft's shit products! (Here come the Xboxen to tell me that the PS3 has no games, and that the RRoD is a 'feature' not a mistake)
