I'm no fan of Backham, however, to me, he seems to be a chock-full of WIN.

Does it really exist people who think that it is possible to play in a top italian " Serie A" team and scoring regularly (otherways he would immediately loose his place in the team to the other star players of AC Milan), in what is probably the toughest european national tournament, without being one of the most talented players on the planet?
With his performance on the field he even managed to change the mind of the majority of A.C. Milan fans , who at first were definitely hostile to him and critical of the place given to him in the team.
I also found quite a few of his off-field exploits quite laughable, but he earned my grudging respect by not being afraid or too proud to restart with humility after a mistake, a wrong choice, or just a strike of bad luck.
Compared to other football megastars (think of Maradona for exemple) he never tried to appear as a superman, he frequently acknowlege that he's been very lucky in his life and most importantly (for me) he seems not to take himself or his own public image too seriously to be able to laugh about it.
After all he is just a guy who kicks a ball for a living, if some people insist on blowing his role out of proportion and insist on interpreting and judge his every move and word it can't be his fault.
You seem to forget... he's richer than you. He must have done something right!
Even if that was just being a twonk, he excells at that.
Ok then, I guess I won't be purchasing any Moto phones ever again.

I think he did that about eight years ago. The only reason he's on the pitch is to model the kit and increase sales of the football shirts.
To be honest, he's playing pretty well for AC Milan at the moment, which just goes to show how bad an idea it was to go and play in the US. He doesn't need to retire yet and could be playing better if he hadn't gone for the cash-grab.

He played well when he got there. 2 goals in 4 games. Nowadays, he rides the bench conversing with Ronaldinho and Schevchenko. He hasn't played in 2 games, and Ancelotti says he'll start on the bench this weekend also.
He did, however, try to buy Milanese Castle. AN ENTIRE CASTLE!

if you don't watch football just say we won't laugh nor is it a sin. Becks is a good player even though i used to hate his guts and he portrays sports in a very good way.

yeah, well Kite, i'd have to agree with you on those points but what he does do is very impressive
Because kicking with your left foot, heading, and scoring goals is what makes a good RMF.
I agree that hes really good at kicking a stationary ball. His crossing very accurate too. But that doesnt make him a GOOD rmf. What about the passing? the off ball movements? the dribbling down the flank? the pace to beat defenders? He just not the superstar everyone think he is.

He's a BlackBerry user! But because he's the biggest sports icon in marketing, Motorola doesn't care and uses him anyway.

That is one of the dumbest commercials I have ever seen.
And while that round screen is undeniably cool, it does not even begin to justify it's absurd price. Great styling can only ever take a product to next, adjacent level and that's it.

Now if you guys want to talk about football and David Beckham, in which from what i have conceived so far with utter disgrace by the lowly comments of such impudent remarks. David Beckham is World Class, a hall of fame figure based on his stellar young career at the ranks of Manchester United where he made his mark and Real Madrid. All this talk about his figure and not so good performance now and trying to make it in the England National team by transferring to AC Milan to get recognized is been misunderstood. He wants to help.
Now that his career is winding down, what else can he be doing, He's the most widely recognized sports figure in the whole wide world. Well, except for the U.S. to some extent. But of course soccer is indeed taking shape in the U.S. no doubt.

He can cross. Who the hell grows up to want to cross. You want to score and dribble like Pele. Without great players around him like he had at Madrid and Milan he plays like crap. How can anybody say David Beckham is fail? He and his wife are worth £125 million. In my books that isn't too bad. He's been the most influential football player in the past 10 years. Lives where he wants, plays when he wants, buys what he wants. He is most definitely not a failure.
