So... You carry a second battery for your non-iPhone around? I had a second battery for my SE P910 and I never got around to carrying it.
In fact, I can honestly say I have seen more people DROP their mobile phones and have the battery POP OUT than I have ever seen anyone change their mobile phone's dying battery with the second battery they're carrying in some side pocket or bag.
The 'replacable battery' is a security blanket for 99% of mobile phone users, I would assert. Yes, I would love better battery life, but I get a good day's worth (~10am-3am) and it hasn't been a big deal to me to have the iPhone battery sealed inside. There are likely many like me.
The built-in battery is a great thing in my opinion, since it greatly enhances build quality and doesn't come out when the phone is dropped. Because you know... people don't actually swap batteries.I too would like a better battery life, but I am by far more inclined to charge my iPhone more often than I am to carry an extra battery (had it been possible). I've never bought an additional battery for any phone I've had.
So since 'no-one changes their batteries' then this juice pack is redundant then?
Is that what you're saying?
Look, I like the iPhone but this thing is ridiculous. If you have to bolt an exoskeleton onto a phone because the battery life is inadequate for your needs then you made the wrong choice, it's that simple. That said, I do agree that most people don't change their batteries and, to be fair, I don't generally carry around a spare for this reason.

*Slots small replaceable battery into his phone*
Sorry, you guys were saying?
*Downloads fart app onto his iphone*
Sorry, you were saying?
Yes, cos being away from a wall socket for more than 2 days is a big issue for most people.
Keep enjoying that 2nd rate cellphone you have
@redcard
It's such a huge issue that the iPhone needs an external battery which is what this article is about.
As for second rate; let's just say I didn't buy an iPhone and leave it at that.
*Uses his smart phone for 5 days on a single charge*
Huh?
@ Mark Anderson
No-body cares about your Nokia 5800.
Move along.

In other words this accessory is a bag of hurt.
