Nintendo rolls out lime green DS bundle just in time for Mother's Day

Talk about things you never knew you didn't want! If Mom hadn't much use for a Nintendo DS Lite before, do you think that throwing in some cooking software is gonna change her mind? Neither do we. That said, if you're really stuck for a Mother's Day present (or just want one you can play Nintendogs on), this bad boy hits the shops May 3rd. You are now free to go back to reading Garfield Minus Garfield and counting down the minutes 'til Happy Hour.
I think that colour is ugly... but that's just me :P.
Why release a new DS when the DSi is out?
Because they're probably just feeding on the lower-price crowd who just want to get their mom a quick gift. And honestly- would your mom really care if it were a DSi, let alone know the difference?
BTW, Nintendo, thanks for being a butthurt and teasing us with new colors THAT AREN'T DSi's.

yea, same thing here. i think its a good/bad idea. good because, its a DS. simple enough for her to use. bad because you are telling your mom she doesnt know how to cook and are now giving a big hint in showing her she needs to learn.

how come they still roll out new color for DS? shouldn't they focus on DSi now? the color is suitable for earth day... maybe they will create some pick up trash game with same color bundle...

My mom could actually use that game. And she admits it. She's not a chef. Her idea of supper is baked chicken and instant potatoes.
And the color is perfect, green, reminds of spring and reminds us (in the northeast anyways) that winter is almost gone.

That color is gorgeous but I have 2 DS Lites and if I'm buying another, it's gonna be a DSi.
Hey, my mom is 54 and loves her DS lite. She's rockin' the red one right now, but if this was a lime green DSi, then I'd buy her the new one for Mother's day. Bummer, but nice effort Nintendo.

When I saw these at the back at Hastings where I work I thought they were such a cute pack. I saw green DS's last summer in England, so that's nothing new, but I've always loved the DS case that this comes with. They have them in more neutral colors at Best Buy. If I didn't already the game is something I wouldn't use. Would've been cooler to throw in Gardening Mama and market it seasonally or jump on the Go Green bullshit train.
I think it's good that they're keeping things fresh with new colors. Sucks for those of us that got the white ones when they came out, but I think it's nice if you're going to spend 100+ on electronics to have the option to get a color that's fits your taste. I'd love to see a purple one come out, but I guess I'll just have to stick to the purple stickers I've got on mine...
