As a perfect complement to Shenzhen's scattered keyboard keys we spotted the other day, tipster Riley G. spotted this charging herd of giant mice statues in Xiamen, China. Two whole tactile, usable buttons? How quaint! Another shot is after the break.

Seriously? No one caught the Star Trek 4 reference? Fine, if I have to be THAT GUY. *sighs*
[faced with a 20th century computer] Scotty: Computer. Computer? [Bones hands him a mouse and he speaks into it] Scotty: Hello, computer. Dr. Nichols: Just use the keyboard. Scotty: Keyboard. How quaint.
Just a tip. If you have to explain your joke, that's a pretty clear indication it wasn't funny. Or that you told it poorly. Either way, lesson learned I'm sure.
What's the fuss? As PCWorld noted: http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,128669-page,1/article.html 1. Vista is incomplete. 2. Vista is expensive 3. Vista needs new hardware. 4. Windows XP Isn't Obsolete Unless you are a M$ fanboy, Vista won't be a compelling buy until 64-bits apps and drivers are ubiquitous & they've wrung the kinks out of the 64-bit version of Vista.
They had been there at least 5years. From 2003. well I really miss the girl I had dated then... Haven't they changed that yet? It just keeps recalling my memories....

Sand Mouse pad! LMAF!
Maybe it's a form of natural selection -- the opticals got across the sand with ease, but these old-school, rubber-ball mice got stuck there forever.
No big deal, it's the C21st, it's no longer rats leaving a sinking ship it's mouses deserting the sinking offshore server ship.

I already knew I was a terrible geek for not liking Star Trek/Star Wars/Pretty much anything sci-fi. I am surprised that nobody else got this though.
So, that's where the old go. I haven't seen a mouse without a scrollwheel for years.
So long, and thanks for all the clicks.

UNC-Chapel Hill has a study abroad program with Xiamen, China. We had some fun times at those mice. :D
This is awesome. While America cuts its arts funding in favor of offshore torture prisons, China does cool stuff like this.

This article is well over 2 years old.
Hello???? Can someone show Mr. Sweathog to the previous posts please???
Thank you!
Somebody save the damsel in de-"stress".
Funny, I've been there a year before, a bit drunk, a bit elevated. Time to go back again.
I love this art, but in China? Can't anyone make something like that in Florida? That's a beach I'd want to go to...
Aren't the mice rushing to the sea, not to the shore? I mean, unless you consider the wire end of the mouse the back, which is kinda dumb IMO.
I wonder how many people will destroy their feet thinking these are sand sculptures...
They had been there at least 5years.
From 2003. well I really miss the girl I had dated then...
Haven't they changed that yet?
It just keeps recalling my memories....
What a sight.
"So Long And Thanks For All the Clicks..."
That's not a mouse, it's a RAT !
:P
They are rushing to Australian shores to join in the mouse plague that those of us living outback are suffering...
We'll just have to get bigger traps!
so long and thanks for all the porn...
