Belkin justifies $30 for a pillow, calls it CushDesk
If you're still up for spending unnecessarily these days, Belkin has the perfect excuse to blow 30 bones on a couch pillow replacement. The oddly, almost comically named CushDesk, is nothing more than a sophisticated lap cushion with a somewhat sturdy top that acts as a portable tabletop for your molten-hot laptop. It's available in a number of soothing hues, and while it's fully compatible with mobile PCs and Macs up to 17-inches in size, we're still waiting to hear back about compatibility with UMPCs, MIDs and Linux-based netbooks.

This is an old idea, but it's so easy to make your own version. For instance, I find that the cushion makes it a little too unwieldy, and I couldn't find one for my big 17" laptop for a long time, so I just bought a big plastic cutting board from OSH for $4. Works great.
Sign me up, I'm sold. Just what I've been looking for.
Really, I'm not kidding.
Hampton Inn & Suites had one like this in their hotel room, and it was freakin' awesome. I checked their website, and Hampton wanted something like $130 if I recall, so naturally I took a pass. But for $30? Why the hell not?
I do have to use a "tray" to keep my "laptop" from burning me, but it's not all cushy underneath.
And have you priced a regular old throw pillow these days? They're not dirt cheap.
Hmm, not bad. These things do work nicely, but the price is a bit over my "okay to purchase without the wife's approval" rule.
I saw the pic and thought it was advertising a new PC. I saw the little cushpillow thing and though, "Damn, I'd love to have one of those." Then I find out the post is about those pillows.
The Dominator is a little more useful.
I actually think that this could be useful
