
The amount of apps in the Windows Phone Marketplace
Microsoft's Windows Phone Marketplace has now reported to have passed 25,000 apps by one site tracking comings and goings within it. (source: WindowsPhoneAppslist, July 2011)

I think a lot of people are overthinking this. The touch is an addition, not a replacement. Efficients and ergonomic, are, at least in my case, not a factor here. I'd most likely keep typing with my keyboard, and making most selection and motions with the mouse. but sometimes touch would come in to ease things. Opening up quick favorites, launching programs, etc. I quick note, like in the video. Checking the weather, playing/pausing music, etc. I see this more as a kitchen counter thing. On my way out of the house in the morning, a few cliks to check the weather or something. No need to have my hands up for 30 minutes to the screen.
