Hey Arbor, this is happening to me as well. It's one of those HTC adapters where you can plug at the same time 3.5mm headphones, the charger and the usb headphones: sound keeps going to the phone speaker. When I plug the normal (USB) headphones, though, it works as expected. Annoying.
