best picture ever
It was a whole commercial.
I'm just laughing at the image alone.
I can almost guess at how the ad ran.
it was an actual episode that just talked about boost the whole time
"Where you at, dawg?

"where u @?"
I love Boost Mobile. I was willing to get rid of my smart phone and go this route because it made sense. $50 for everything. Certain things I do miss about my Touch Pro, but when I saw the amount of money I was saving I figured, WHAT THE HELL. Now I use my Touch Pro in Wi-Fi areas to access the web and my i776 to do everything else. It'll be great when Zer01 finally comes out. I'll be all over that like white on rice.
SMS is a growing trend in the US?
What?
With 35+ y/o's, yes it is.
Since most Boost customer only text, they should have realized this. Or at least charge more so it'll cut back on the number of messages.
it better be cleared up before the 8th, im expecting birthday texts. ima be 18 =)
Will you be celebrating with sexual harassment panda?
God bless socioeconomic targeting.
thats a big word :)
mmmmmmmhmmmm
@kris
those are the kind of words you get to use when you turn 18. in fact the traditional 18th birthday present is a dictionary. of course that gets all undone by the traditional 21st birthday present but at least it was worth a try.
im in ireland, we get to drink at 18.... bye bye big words, hello gutter
a drunken irish panda, what a combination.
how fair is that, i am 2.5 years older than you and you get to drink before me...
f*ckin US laws
Just remember not to text and drive. Not with Boost, anyway. Could be dangerous, especially after a few glasses of Jameson.
Master Shake FTW.
I've had this as my avatar for sooo long. Finally, an Engadget ATHF reference!
coooool
You're awesome.
wtf is the poinst of boost mobile? I only see black people and little kids using boost phones. I guess the poor need a phone too.
Not everyone can sell pork fried rice all day to afford verizon Mr. Lee
silly crackers...Wow it's true! Ignorance is fun! (Sorry xee, that word means a person lacks knowledge and is unaware of something.)
Similarly, I've only seen Boost Mobile advertisements in the poorer parts of Cleveland.
Go figure.
if you watched their advertising you would know they target towards the elderly street racing and thug demographics, a potentially untapped market
racist much?
Have you seen their commercials? Their demographic aim is pretty obvious.
I got Boost with this new deal... I haven't noticed any problems with texting, though I don't do it terribly often.
On another note, the phones they have that are under $250 are complete junk. My phone, the i776, had predictive text enabled my default... The thing is that it didn't do anything near what I wanted... I would press 7 and get the symbol for the Euro, press it again and get an o with an accent grave... I don't understand how that could possibly be useful to anyone. And for some reason when you respond to a text, it decides it's going to put two lines of "------", then it quotes the message you are responding to.
I thought my KRZR was a bad phone after using the Kyocera Slider Remix, but wow, I'm begging to use my old KRZR...
Boost Mobile... Number 1 in the Hood G..
Ah yes. the drug dealer's carrier of choice.
Pre-paid phone + cash purchase + thug life commercials = very hard to trace
We got the whole city behind ya!
I won't be happy until they get matter transporters
Yup, that way you can shoplift from across the world. =D
Holdin my breath!
friend: i never got your text.
other friend: no, you're a liar. fuck you.
friend: no, really!
3 days later, on may 7th:
friend: holy shit! [calls other friend] i just got your text!
other friend: fuck boost mobile. and fuck you.
friend: [drinks sorrows away]
why do people hate on boost because of the urban youth demographic. Since business people, hillbillies, and many other people. who could afford NEXTEL had NEXTEL, Nextel made a prepaid version to target the demographic that wanted Nextel but where unable due to credit, and other factors. Even though sprint fucked up Nextel,(story for another time). and most nextel customers left sprint/nextel all together; Nextel subscribers went from 20 million down to 10 million, all the while sprint was expanding and fixing up the nextel network.(mainly in late 07 and 08). they have much space to fill and are know marketing towards all demographics. So i dont see why people relate boost so much to be only for thugs and gangbangers, and urban rapper wannabe youth. cause its just basically prepaid NEXTEL, everything is the same except some features on the phones, and the lack of NEXTELS Massive business data applications. SO for someone like me who has worked for nextel corporate and has had NEXTEL Service for 8 years. I wanna go to boost cause it offers Same NEXTEL service, unlimitied everything for only 50 dollars. Also I would never buy a boost phone, just take a boost sim card and put it in my nextel phone so my backplate says Nextel. and not boost.
this is what the comments here should have been like all along, instead of the bigoted crap that it is.
"Nextel made a prepaid version to target the demographic that wanted Nextel but where unable due to credit"
People buying stuff that didn't have the credit to afford it in the first place is what caused the housing crash, so you can see how well that strategy works out in the long run. If you couldn't get approved credit for a cell phone up until the bottom fell out by simply showing them you were living, then you must have really messed up somewhere and a cell phone is definitely not a necessity in your life. More like food and shelter.
"oh, i see you got the switch blade option"
does boost have a fair usage plan or is it really unlimited sms?
