best headline in a while
yes!
Ricker is the best
The next RAZR.
No, seriously, that's what the next RAZR should look like.
Is that Sylar?
Yes it is Sylar.
so... Starfleet is using Skype?!
Is this really worthy of another post?
Sure is....They're the bomb diggity.
atleast I'm not the only one who can't sleep.... This is great!
What is this sleep you speak of?
Sleep is overrated
You know, those same kind of trekkie fans will pick this "communicator" apart and call it innacurate.
I know what you mean, it's not like this thing has a Sub-space transponder! What kind of nerd would even deem this worthy of deep analysis?
This would be cooler, or perhaps suck less if it were actually wireless.
This will come handy now that my Pon Farr is approaching.
7 years, huh?
Don't forget to give that special someone the Pon Farr perfume then.

Already reported... I think...

Yea
Yes, but it doesn't count since it was reported by a different editor... so it's a whole new article ;-)
Yeah , I agree. It's OLD news aka product placement for a movie coming out on friday.
It's now for sale. That's the news. Also this is the first video we've seen. That's more news. Also, you're very very handsome readers, I'm sure.
Ah, I see, my mistake.
Until they come out with a bluetooth version that connects to my cell phone, not interested. I want to bury my cell phone in some deep pocket somewhere and just use the communicator. Maybe someday they'll wrap all the actual cell phone components up in a tiny package that's belt buckle mounted(imagine battery life and size if its just a cell radio, bluetooth radio, battery, and a little logic). Come out with a line of different belts that it can be placed into(so your not stuck with one phone-one-fashion), then flood the market with hundreds of inexpensive different bluetooth devices that connect/control it.
Dude, a bluetooth one to use with your phone is a great idea! They also need to make a little speaker phone one like TNG ones.
My mother and my aunts are going to want these.
WANT! That's really about 40 different kinds of awesome.
Okie- dokie...
Why, oh why wasn't this made as a bluetooth accessory? Hardware modders, you've got work to do.
just take apart a cheapo bluetooth headset, shove it inside the case, and move the connections to the communicator's speakers and mic instead of the one's already in it.
why don't the chinese KIRF factories make a cellphone like this?
How would you dial?
USB?? why not Bluetooth? it would be more interesting, not to mention more realistic.
If anyone wants one they are doing a bundle launch on their website at the end of this month - you buy the communicator and get the Star Trek webcam for free!
