Sure, we already got a
pretty decent look at Samsung's first Android device -- the i7500 -- just a few short days ago.
Tech 65's video, however, gives the phone a much more in depth once-over, and while the software is still not in its final state, it's looking pretty smart over all. If you've
forgotten, the quad-band GSM, tri-band 7.2Mbps HSDPA (900/1700/2100MHz) handset boasts a 3.2-inch, 320 x 480 pixel AMOLED touchscreen, WiFi, GPS, a 5 megapixel camera, 8GB of storage with MicroSD expansion for up to 32GB more, and a standard 3.5mm jack. Hit the video after the break, but fair warning: this video does not have any awesome hair metal.
Looks like 2009 is going to be very exciting for smartphones, with the release of the iPhone V3, Palm Pre, Blackberry Storm 2, Nokia N97 and all of the cool new Android devices. I hope all the vendors do well. The competition is making smartphones better & better, all of the time.
Looks real good. Cant wait. For me its between this phone or the touch pro 2.
I dont know why there is a black space to the left and right of the "A" and "L" letters in the on screen keyboard.
Why would they do this? Wouldnt it be better to make the letter buttons bigger and easier to touch with the wasted space?
Lastly, he didnt show if the keyboard comes out when you have the phone sideways.
sounds like a singaporean...
Well it IS filmed at a Singaporean event in Singapore with a large probability that Singapore bloggers are covering it. Doi.
the name just roles off the tongue
AT&T won't let this sort of phone happen especially when they're running iPhone.
Don't let AT&T ruin your life by not offering a phone you like: change carrier.
No, don't buy unlocked phone and save every month on payments, buy a locked subsidized phone and pay premium every month! Its better this way! For AT&T of course!
Or you want to say you value your life more? Pitiful mortal, AT&T will live longer, long live AT&T!
/sarcasm
Samsung really has something for that ugly conglomeration of buttons at the bottom of a rounded phone. Like the D880, G600, E950, E840, I600 and so on. However the BlackJack2 vibes right with me. TU;WB - Too ugly; Won't buy.
Finally, a chinless Android, I'm sold!
I am going to have a hard time picking an AWS smartphone this summer: T-Mobile Wing 2 (TP2), T-Mobile MyTouch (G2/Magic), Samsung i7500 (T-Mobile Houdini?), and SE CS8/CS5.
Too bad this thing is going to cost around $700...
