Wouldn't it be great to be able to just toss your various gadgets into a nice little bed of grass and have them instantly recharge themselves through the magic of some WildCharger-style cordless charging technology? Of course it would. Unfortunately, this new so-called Grass Charging Valet available from Taylor Gifts won't let you do any of that. It will, however, let you conceal your current entanglement of chargers beneath a tasteful patch of 100% faux grass, and set you back a mere $30. Why isn't this a Crapgadget?
I actually like this, but the thing is, I could just make one myself for way less than 30 dollars.

I'd expect a lot of scratches, and I might even find a worm in my audio jack...

I'd buy it. $30 isn't much for a decoration piece which is what this would create.
Not gonna lie, I would buy this...Gives it the illusion the grass is doing the charging...Until you see the power cords leading away from the base. Whatever, I want!
great so now instead of untangling wires from each other i have to find and then untangle wires from plastic grass....

Would be cool for the Palm Pre, although I think it would be weird to have a random thing of fake grass on my desk.
This will train me to more readily find my dropped phone when I am doing yard work. If I ever did yard work. Or brought my phone along for some reason. Then dropped it.

I wonder how easy is it to find the right plug in a jungle of grass. I would think it would just get in the way.

I'd buy it. Simplistic idea for something that everyone has to deal with day to day. Looks much nicer than the half mile of wire that is protruding out of a power strip under furniture or something. Clean and simple. I like!

$30 for a box of fake grass with a hole in the bottom/side for charging cords? Pass.
And may I not be the last person to say that this is a dumb idea.
I like the idea, but the dimensions seem too small for it to be functional. There's just no room in there for a power strip and wall warts. and it if doesn't conceal the power strip, it's no good.
Excuse me, I have to try to dig out my phone charger, I know it's here somewhere...
The extra hassle plugging/unplugging things isn't worth the aethetic. Working as you described, instant buy.

Geeze, if you want to combine electronics and fake foliage, why not create a potted power tree? It'd be a small fake tree and you'd hang your handhelds from its branches to make it look like some bizarre fruit tree. Power cables would be routed along the trunk and branches. Then you just pluck your powered gadget from the tree and go.
