I had problems with the restart. It took 3 times to finally catch, all I was getting was the the spinner.
The combo download was a bit of a hassle through software update also, so I went to Apple and got it directly.
In addition I downloaded the latest Frontrow update. I installed, but when I get info it still says version 1.0. Sup?
In other words it doesn't offer anything.
I am just hoping that the Bug is fixed that the developer seeds showed that the Safari 4 Beta would not work correctly.. Otherwise I might have to go back to using Firefox...
I thought mac os x doesn't any update
Your comment needs an update.
Aww man! I just finished making 35 different leopard images at work yesterday! And now there's a fairly major OS update! Now I have to redo them all. :(
What do you guys use for imaging Macs? We have a GC server for our PCs, but the Macs are all done manually - really want to get a imaging solution in place so I can spend more time making snarky comments on tech blogs.
If they all are the same images, then use or SuperDuper! or Carbon Copy Cloner.
interesting!
This morning I upgraded to Mac OS X 10.5.7 and my Sony Bravia LCD TV model: KDL-32SL130 no longer works properly as a monitor. The system menu which normally appears across the top of the screen has moved to be just above visibility in the screen area. Sony doesn't seem to provide any controls for the vertical "stretch" of the display like computer monitors have done in the past. I can move the mouse pointer to the top of the screen and click to get pull down menus to appear, but I have to guess where and what the menu choices are. Sony does not provide any drivers for this LCD TV.
I thought I left these sorts of problems behind when I came back to the Mac world after years of Windows. I am seriously disappointed.
YES! On my Mac, this update breaks my display, too..
Finally. I was scouring the net looking for ANYONE out there who has the same problem.
And though I love my Mac, at least on a PC you can UNDO the update.
DO NOT do this update if you use a HDMI connection to connect your screen - it has rendered my mac mini media centre useless since there are bugs in the available screen resolutions and somehow auto selecting the HDMI connection.
I had to order a DVI to VGA adaptor from applestore.se - I'm now informed that it will take 10 days to receive that.
