Video: Apple responds to Microsoft's Laptop Hunters... with a Megan
According to Apple, there aren't any PCs with fast processors and big screens that work without viruses, crashes or headaches. But folks, this isn't reality, this is advertising. In fact, this is Apple's first jab since Microsoft took off the gloves with its Laptop Hunters series of pokes against Apple. So grab a Coke (or Pepsi) and check the ad after the break.

The problems with non-savy people running Linux can generally be solved by having everything they need installed and set-up by a savy Linux user. That is, include all the Linux preferences, and add in Wine + the Microsoft Suite + whatever else.
Generally new users just aren't used to the way Linux distros operates. They wouldn't know what to do to get this working, etc. Once it's all set-up and working, they like Linux.
you guys are so lame.
D:
i broke up with my girlfriend because she was a pc.
LOL, that's awesome!
I love how Megan is dressed all frumpy like a Mac user. I bet she drives a VW too. I'm not sure why Apple thought it's response to it's higher prices should be crashing or viruses.
"Linux is pretty awesome! Know why? 'Cause it's built on UNIX. Mac and Windows can shove it. What? Mac is built on UNIX too?! F*^#!"
Linux is UNIX like - NOT Unix.
BSD is UNIX like - NOT Unix
Mac OSX its build upon the Darwin kernel - that is build upon Mach 3 and XNU (X Not Unix).
Now when we have that clarified:
I daily use my Windows Vista laptop - my workcentral.
I daily use my BSD home server.
I daily use my Fedora laptop.
I daily use my Arch laptop.
I daily use my Macbook (Started to use Mac when i was really young, acctually worked for Apple for eight months last year too :) )
I sometimes use Haiku (it's loads of fun to use that op!)
In the end:
My Macbook is my best companion - it's a multi function tool, doesnt complain and i can put it for sleep weeks in a row without any problems.
My Linux machine's are my pets - they do as i tell them and, almost, never complains.
My BSD homeserver, well frankly, I set it up some years ago, and I think that it's about 4 months since I encountered any issues with it.
My Haiku machine - well, it's just for fun.
My Vista machine.... no comments, Vista is really dull and boring and should never had seen the light of day. Take back, trash, redo, and relaunch!
