Crysis is GPU limited. More importantly, bigger is not better. Smaller is better. This is merely a novelty chip, probably will be very slow, like old, giant computers.
I wonder if the IHS spreader will actually be able to cool the processor like a heatsink...
Yea, because Engadget is a blog and can't post whatever they want. How about you go start a blog then wait for people to comment on what you should be posting?
Correction: No processor will ever be able to run the heap of junk that norton 360 (no, it doesn't deserve a capital n) is with any power left for anything else, on any operating system.

Slow news day, Nilay?
Hey, the day is just starting! It's 2AM here.
Isn't this from 2006?
Slow news decade.
*insert derogatory and flammable comments regarding Engadget's slow coverage*
They always say that the cpu is the computer. (now its true)
THIS...IS.....INTEL!!!!!
iPhone killer lol
Look at the size of that thing. It's a veritable planetoid. It's got it's own weather system...
Is that a "So I Married an Axe Murderer" reference?
Go home and cry yourself to sleep on your HUGE pillow.
Oh, that's for this:

STILL not bigger than my GTX 280's core.
Now THAT thing will play Crysis!

Nay, Invisible brain.
@Arctic
I honestly without control had to look up while reading your post.
XD You guys thought I was being serious? Seriously?
Damn... I'm not good at humor...
Correct. When the moose is invisible its not funny anymore.
Moose, you're humor is so dry it turned to dust and scattered to the winds.
....over9000 cores!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
...on Intels new Retro process. Who needs 32nm when you can have 3200nm, its a hundred times better!
I wonder, is it necessary to overclock??
i think the one who 'photoshopped' this photo needs a brain with a processor that size. LOL
is it LGA 775 compatible?
;)
Intel's first Video Card.
Lmao - and yet probably true
You forgot Intel i740.
What's so funny?, Intel advertises the smallest processor in cbs.com
This must be from the old Hubble command and data handling unit they replaced yesterday.
This is going in my netbook
Engadget give us the rights to High/Low rank posts ...... I want to low rank this post.
I can't believe this is on Engadget.

Imagine the size and weight of the heatsink!
...the heat sink sunk...
Yeah a processor that will finally run vista and norton 360 at the same time!
Correction: No processor will ever be able to run the heap of junk that norton 360 (no, it doesn't deserve a capital n) is with any power left for anything else, on any operating system.
I think I'm going to need a bigger computer case.
I wonder what processor they used for the image? Core 2 Duo maybe....
That'd make one heck of a kewl night table.
First came DESK-TOPS, then came LAP-TOPS which shrunk and became NET-TOPS. Now welcome the new ROOF-TOP!
Will it play doom?
both MID and UMPC need to die there useless deaths
poinless post!
Is this suppose to be news or something? or is it me who miss the point here!?!?!
