SNK fighting joysticks tempt PlayStation 3 importers
Got a bit of couch cushion change weighing you down? Need a little something to revitalize that PS3 love affair? You've come to the right place, friend. SNK has just unleashed a new duo of fighting sticks over in Japan, and both are downright drool-worthy. The new controllers are being launched alongside King of Fighters XII this July, with one featuring artwork from the title and the second boasting a Neo Geo throwback vibe (pictured after the jump) that should resonate quite well with gamers of yesteryear. The tandem is priced at ¥6,279 ($65) and ¥5,229 ($54), respectively, though we get the feeling it'll be import or bust for us Yanks.

I can see this turning into a 3 page flame war over OSes.
Says he with the ZOMGCUTEPUPPEH!!!!! icon. Idiot.
Where can I order one that can shipped to U.S?
Why does one pad have 6 face buttons, and the other 4 face buttons? Last time I played KOF ('99 version, that came out in.... 2000), there was just 4 buttons anyhow?
I see 8 and 9 buttons. I wonder what the P9 buttons is for? I guess it's programmable combo button or something.
I said face buttons, i.e. the big face buttons; you wouldn't really want to use the small buttons on a joystick in a beat 'em up as main buttons.
I'd imagine you'd program those for 3x punch, etc, if you wanted, whereas people who don't like using that kind of thing (poeple who like it as close to the arcade as poss, perhaps?), would stick to the big buttons.
So, why the discrepency between the number of BIG face buttons?
One is a standard six button arcade stick the other is the neo geo 4 button deal, i guess
I looooove the throwback model, but I hate that it's only 4-buttons. Seems like there's still room for bringing up two more full buttons so we can Capcom on it as well. (I know, I know, blasphemy.)
POWAH DUNK!
@ Samo: The classic Neo Geo stick (4 big buttons) can still be applied to any King Of Fighters game (or any other SNK fighter for that matter) because they utilize only 2 punch and 2 kick buttons, unlike Capcom fighters which usually utilize the 3 punch/3 kick formula. I'm guessing the reason for the 6 button stick is because SNK realizes Street Fighter IV is uber popular right now and are trying to appeal to both Street Fighter fans and King Of Fighters fans with that stick.
Personally, I like the classic stick better anyway. Ash being on the 6 button stick messed it up for me.
