Sonix7 Media Pro tangles with the PMP giants
We'll be honest -- there's a decent chance you'll never experience the joy of handling a Sonix7 Media Pro in your time here on Earth, but it's still worth looking at just to show that the Apples, Microsofts and Meizus of the world haven't scared us all away just yet. This so-called MP4 player packs a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, 30 hours of audio playback (20 hours on video) and a built-in camera and speaker. Unlike the hordes of alternatives, this one's actually not built in China; rather, it's born and bred in Britain. It's available now in 8GB and 16GB flavors for £89.99 ($136) and £104.99 ($159), respectively, and you check out the company's self-assembled showdown with the iPod nano just after the break.

Want. Thats all.
I cant argue with those specs
Something is wrong with the 'HOLDS' specs.
Same amount of music, 4 times the video, and same amount of photos.
WTF? 0-o
Different video compression formats perhaps? But then it should hold more songs, too, as WMA files are smaller than MP3 at the same bitrate... I haven't looked into it though :)
It's being compared to the nano, but there are no size or weight specs?
Thick much?
Did anyone wonder what that video was on the player in the video on the linked page? I had it on mute, and it looked a bit.. you know... ;)
For once an advantage to living in the UK, one of these has my name on it for sure.
No FLAC damn it!
Also we Brits are excellent at inventing stuff and at building high end, low volume products but when it comes to mass production we fail in a big way..... I will take a look at this as it looks good but I will need to see the build quality before I buy.
The videos on their website demonstrating the touch controls basically destroyed anything about it to like. The response between press and action are long.
can you add more memory to this PMP or are u stuck with 8 or 16GB?

P.S.
I just purchase my first Meizu M8 16GB, WiFi, ect. for 500$ can't wait to add a 32GB card to it.
I feel so happy.
(it comes with a host of other things thats why its that price, otherwise it would have been 445)
my grand dream is to install WinMobile 6.1 or 7 (or just try to do it), that will come much later after I get board with it.
I haven't shaken my head in disbelief at any product for a while, but after a few seconds of watching their online video tutorials, my head was shaking like one of those toy nodding dogs. I haven't seen such an antiquated, awkward looking user interface since... well... since a long long long time.
This will die a horrible death, if it hasnt done so already
