I heard the reason it has no GSM capability is becasue the majority of Sprint users are NASCAR fans that never leave the country so international capability is irrelevant.
Surely they will release a GSM edition sooner or later...
or will Palm only ever sell this phone in the US?
Suburbanwhiteboy that's utterly irrelevant, the GSM version is for other countries and networks, not a Sprint phone with added GSM.
palm did say there would be a Euro GSM version, I'm just waiting for it

Actually SuburbanWhiteBoy might be on to something, subscribers are leaving Sprint and NASCAR viewership is down. I have a feeling there's a direct correlation. Nascar = left turn, left turn, left turn. Sprint = Dropped call, dropped call, dropped call. hmmm, looks like the rednecks of america might be getting smarter.

I mean ok, Sprint's CDMA. You can't roam internationally yeah fine. So? Ever looked at what international roaming COSTS? EFF THAT. I mean you can always get a prepaid SIM or whatever if phone has a SIM socket (yeah.. some CDMA/GSM dual modes out there) but still.. The only thing I can possibly think of is if you just CAN'T resist getting bent over about roaming charges. I mean CDMA as it might be, it's still got wi-fi, so you get a crappy flip off ebay and buy a prepaid sim for any phone calls, and blam, all your e-mail stays straight when you hit wireless.

JEEEEZUS!! he was CLEARLY trying to say that he won an auction on eBay, but by imperfect human nature (and typing way too fast) he obviously skipped over a word BY ACCIDENT which he CLEARLY denotes in his second comment by not only restating part of his sentence, but also going the extra (and slightly humorous... up to you) mile by sarcastically offering his new toy to engadget if they let him edit his comments. my GOD people, grow some nuts :\

why did the not build an actual timer into the advertisement that can use your system clock. Mine says 46 days too.
Kind of sad how I have to waste all the "Now" time idly waiting so I can work in the "NOW" in June.

In Europe, other than what I read on Engadget we have nothing on this phone. There maybe some people on here who are more into certain networks than I am, but generally there's no buzz for this phone, yet....
I mean, Palm haven't had a knockout phone in Europe for a long time and a lot of those people who bought them are now with Blackberrys (blackberries?).
Yeah it all looks good, The QWERETY keyboard looks a little small and fiddly, but if it was any bigger, the phone would be too big.
I'm waiting for the KIRF edition...:D
