Late reply, but there is a free (for now) Jungle Disc plugin for WHS. It uploads to Amazon S3. Will probably be cheaper for most people than Carbonite.

Hands-on review of the Acer Aspire easyStore Home Server right here:

It's a great home server, especially for the price....
Acer's customer service sucks too hard to buy anything with the Acer label on it.
I'm pretty excited about this, I've been wanting a home media server FOREVER, it's just always been too far out of my money range and I did not not to build it since I tend to always overdo things. This is the perfect solution, I'll probably pick one up in a couple of months, hopefully HP and Acer start a price war since they seem to be targeting the same audience (mostly amatuer techies who want a home media server), but who knows.
I'd love to see a direct review between this, and the HP MediaSmart LX195 ( http://www.engadget.com/2009/04/29/hp-mediasmart-lx195-boasts-640gb-hdd-1-6ghz-atom-400-msrp/ )
They are similar in spec, form factor, and price. Engadget editors, I bet you can get some test units :)
nice, but i'd rather get a DROBO
I couldn't find a Drobo vs WHS review... why would you choose Drobo over WHS?
can somebody explain (or direct me towards) a comparison between the Drobo 4-bay solution with NAS expansion and the Acer Easystore just released? I am based in the UK , so HP MediaSmart is out of the question.
Thanks!

i think there is like a $300 difference
anyone in the US that has one of these, know if the power supply is both 110v and 220v ?
This was a great buy for me! I was very happy with it. I got hung up installing a couple other things like PHP and MySql that I describe in my blog about it but overall has been a great experience.
