We expected these to launch sometime in
late March or early April, but it looks like Lenovo's IdeaCentre
A600 is just now started to roll out, and along with it a handful of reviews. There seems to be a consensus that this all-in-one's a really good bang for the buck, especially with the TV tuner and somewhat useful remote / gyroscope controller / VoIP handset. Performance-wise, the Intel Core 2 Duo / ATI Mobility Radio HD3650 powered device is good but nothing worth writing home about.
Boing Boing Gadgets suggests it won't match the latest iMac at gaming. While the body's well built and sturdy, the jury's still out on the glossy screen and that front "bump" of sorts -- you should also be warned that there's a rather hefty power brick that comes along with the PC. As with all AIO's, if a 21.5-inch screen isn't large enough, there isn't much you can do about it. If, however, the specs and features are just what you're looking for, you'll be happy to hear the company's turned those bullet points into a well-oiled machine. But don't take our word for it, hit up the read links below for more in-depth critiques.

If only it could handle gaming. I would have been all over this thing. As it stands, I'll probably just upgrade what I'm using now
Yes... it looks too good on the outside to suck that much on the inside.
The processor and gfx card blow.
Anyway, I'm getting a desktop this fall... and I'm almost sure it will have a 120Hz 22" multi-touch screen for Windows 7... (the one Albatron was supposed to release more than a month ago)... and 3D vision.
For 700$, the cpu and gfx are very ok. This is a nice computer and overall a great deal.
Best looking all-in-one I have ever seen. It really out-does the Imac, which is hard to do. Tech specs are good too, and the 'wiimote' is a nice touch. Good job Lenovo!
Now you've done it...
LOL. I know I have, but it really looks good to me. I have to say all the other AIO's look kinda lame (dell, acer, sony, etc..) and had pretty bad specs. The imac actually looks good it has its place, this is just a fresh new look that packs some cool features (though not mind-blowing performance, but hey it's a AIO right?) .
It could look better.
So its 700 bucks, includes a remote/VOIP phone, has a touchpad and mouse, 1920 resolution, and looks awesome. I think they are going to move a lot of these.
Sounds too good to be true. This machine easily looks to be $1200+.
Nah, I wish. The base $700 uses GMA4500 integrated and loses the VoIP Remote, blu-ray, and tv tuner. It's still 1920 though. The one reviewed was about $1,300
If you were looking for gaming you wouldn't be getting an AIO (no less a OS X AIO).

"it won't match the latest iMac at gaming"
is this a typo or what?
It was for the laugh. They have a sense of humor, who would have thunked it.
That is absolutely sexy all in one for the price.
This is a*
(when Engadget will you upgrade this dumb comment system).
I use my iMac for gaming. Here's some pics:

The level of graphics exhibited on those flickr shots is.... very sad.
I can't believe this is desktop gaming.
Right, of course you PC guys are going to say it sucks, no matter what it looked like. I played the same games in Windows and at the same resolution on my PCs. I wasn't even running the games full screen when I took the screen shots.
Here's my specs.
iMac, 24-inch
OS X Leopard 10.5.7
3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB
4GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x2GB
1.0TB Serial ATA Drive
For me, this is the perfect gaming comp
@Paul
And you probably paid way too much.
I got an i7 920, radeon 4870, 6GB DDR3-1600, 1TB caviar black, and that costed me $1k CAD =D
@soulsaber
Yeah, but you don't have OS X and I've got friends with Macs that are five years old, which have never had a hardware failure. You'll be replacing your PC in less than three years. Either the motherboard will fry or the processor will short. And don't tell me that your PCs last forever, I've had a bunch of PCs and not one has lasted more than three years without a hardware failure.
The Mac is just a better value in the long run.
LOL @ Paul's pix... Dude, while OS X is a great OS and Apple makes great products, that is far far far from any level of quality gaming. Sure Monopoly or Super Mario Bros. may look good, but come on Team Fortress looked like ass that had been ran through mud and then applied a gaussian blur on it. Apparently you have not seen what real PC gaming looks like.
The odd thing is, I have PC's that are 5 years old and never had a hardware failure either. I'm writing this on a box I've had for 6 years and it's running Ubuntu like like a champ.
Lol! Paul just implied that OSX improves the reliability of hardware.
Oh, that Mario stuff is for my niece, but I bought Sims 2 because it's much easier for her to play. Usually when she plays Mario, she dies so much she tells me to play so she can watch and I have to play it for hour while I could just let her play something like Sims 2, which takes no skill to master.
But anyway, I'm playing with the new Spy and Sniper update in Team Fortress 2. I play by the name "Agent Chapel" and I'm usually on the Nemu servers if you want to put an arrow in my back.
Later, dudes.
Oh, and by the way, not only am I implying that OS X is easier on hardware, but the design is so good, that the component stand up with lots of stress, unlike PCs.
I'm with ya paul :D - my last gen plastic iMac rocked for gaming - great for lans too as everything you could need would pack into the original box with it. I'm going to get slaughtered but don't knock the iMac guys :D
Bigger screen please!
Really slick... awesome... they should just wait for windows 7 and multi-touch this bad-boy to pieces, then it would be the perfect AIO.
give me a better graphics card and win 7
ATI makes radios, engadget?
@soulsaber

I have a seven year old Compaq desktop which was on the ultra low-end when it was purchased sitting downstairs that hasn't had a single hardware failure... There's an even older desktop somewhere around here that runs perfectly fine. (well, you know, runs as well as you expect a 200Mhz Pentium to run) Maybe you just need to take better care of your PCs? (But I mean, I don't take any special precautions...)
The Imacs are actually becoming much LESS reliable desktops; Apple is making the decision to cram some seriously hot components ( I think they put actual video cards in the crazy-pricey models, although I'm pretty sure notebook cpus are used throughut) in a very small chasis, with not very much ventillation, and where nothing can be replaced easily. Older Imacs are a different story, but Apple's hardware design is stuck in a bad rut since 2004(ish) with the imac G5. The current model is just hideous.
The base model for this thing is the only one that's worth it; the performance gains seen in the more expensive models are in no way reflective of the higher price; I would buy that remote thingy though. If you want a gaming/fast PC, your only real option is to buy the parts, go cheap on everything but the GPU and put said parts together. CPUs are all fast enough now, and a 100$ desktop GPU will blow the thinkCenter or iMac out of the water.
I like mine with one exception...way to much glare from the screen.
"it won't match the latest iMac at gaming"... just like someone is gaming on a Imac!! The HD3650, just like the imac, will run World of Warcraft just fine. I prefer the 700$ price tag and the look of this one.
It looks too good on the outside to suck that much on the inside.Best looking all-in-one I have ever seen.
"ATI Mobility Radio HD3650 powered device..."
FAIL :)
@Paul and anyone else that cares...
I still have my packed bell PC wtth an AMD k6-2 333 with a 20 gig hd and Win98 installed.
It's almost 10 years old and it still boots up. take ur bullshit and shove up your m*a*c*f*a*g ass!
I've been wanting that keyboard/mouse set since the original shots came out.
