Just in time for your weekend perusal,
Palm Goon (which we half suspect might be a viral site from Palm itself) has uploaded three tours and a FAQ chock-full of new Pre / webOS screens and details, chief among them being confirmation that the Pre does daily automatic backup. We've also got some pretty thorough glimpses of the web browser, Tasks, and Memo applications. Visually, it's quite a beaut -- a very elegant and classy UI that rivals anything we've seen from a certain Cupertino-based company. Of course, functionality remains to be seen, but if Palm and Sprint deliver half as good of a game as they talk, looks like we're in for a real treat.
Update: Looks like the site's experiencing intermittent server errors. Hang tight, we'll keep you updated.

Thanks. It's great to see it in motion!

Very nice, the Pre seems to be an amalgamation of the iPhone and Android OS UI. As much I like the Pre only a blind hater would fail to admit that it steals a lot of the iPhone's behaviors (especially when it comes to UI look and feel). And only a blind Apple fanboy would fail to admit that the iPhone could learn a hell of a lot of things from the Pre. Can't wait to see what Apple's answer to this will be, competition is a good thing people, a very good thing.
two interesting things.
The "edit" menu is there in the browser. While he doesn't click it, he says "all the usual things" and the fact that it's there suggests that you can, in fact, copy and paste in the browser.
You can change the right-left swipe to switch applications, which looks interesting
I believe it has already been stated (by Palm?) that copy-n-paste does NOT work in the browser.
For example:
http://www.engadget.com/2009/04/27/insider-sprint-doc-details-the-palm-pre-for-new-users-other-b/
That's why I said "you can, in fact,"
also, that was a "leaked sprint document", not an official palm thing, so we have no way of knowing how accurate, or even genuine, it is
Awesome work! GSM version is being waited
omg sexy, cant wait to touch'em ^^
everything for pre looks SO NICE!!!
This looks sweet. The first phone to ever rival the iPhone in terms of usability and sex appeal?
Wow, this looks really great! I can't wait to try one out in person.
