iriver's T-DMB-packin' B30 portable media player emerges
Check it, North Americans -- yet another PMP that'll never arrive here in this form. The T-DMB-equipped B30 just popped up over on iriver's Korean website, complete with an FM tuner, 2.8-inch QVGA display, a microSD expansion slot, 4/8/16GB of inbuilt memory, white / black / silver color options, USB 2.0 connectivity, a user-selectable equalizer and a list of supported file formats too lengthy to cover in this space. Furthermore, we're told that the battery is good for 40 hours on audio and 5.5 hours with video, and while a ship date has yet to be revealed, we're expecting 'em to go for around $155, $183 and TBD from least capacious to most.

as smooth as a babies bottom
Cool a tab for Dave Matthews Band, wish they didn't have to share it with DAB though.
(can't wait till the new album June 2nd... lol it might be on my mind a bit too much)
well DMB sucks and the album leaked so if youre the yar har har type you can download it from some blog Im sure.
really i'm not going to think about any other player other than the ipod until they can match the storage capbilities. My 80G ipod is full just between audiobooks, OTR, podcasts, and music. But honestly if Iriver or the Zune comes with 80G or more.. i will SERIOUSLY give some thought into switching
Ummm ... the Zune already has an 80GB and 120GB version.
zune has 120gb
So what you're saying is your large selection of crappy music is about the same as your taste in PMPs?
sorry i hadn't looked at the zune site in forever, and when i bought my ipod i was told it wasn't available " i misunderstood that to mean not made yet, not just the store.. oh well. and @m3tric what are you basing your thesis on? the fact that i read? the fact that i listen to OTR's? or are you a super secret spy who has actually looked through my collection?
Great but Ill stick with my Sony NWZ-A726 10 hr battery life for videos. and tho the music life is a bit shorter its not like Im gonna be on some Island and not be able to charge it for a bit.
no one can tell that.
or even read it
looks super plain. also they need to seriously ramp up the storage they're cheapest one should start at 32GB and go up from there. lastly the screen size has to increase, it's a little difficult to watch movies on an 2.8 the screen should be 3.0 at least.
uh...is this a trick question?

(the above @ Jayde)
I still have the iRiver HP140 - their 40 gig MP3 player from around 2003, and the damned thing just refuses to die. It's the ugliest MP3 player ever, but it's still functional.
lovin' minimalist interface and design.
and the external antenna is for.....?
for DMB. "Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (DMB) is a European technology used in digital radio transmission system for sending multimedia (video, audio)". Basically its a portable television, where the DMB technology is supported.
*almost* looks like an iPhone, but I prefer iPhone's luxurious touches.
It's closer to the Instinct than an iPhone imo.
Your name pretty much says it all...R-tard
Too big.
The reason why it sometimes never leaves asia, its because people are so hung up on the ipod's and itouches that they bash the product even if they haven't tried it yet. So personally i'll won't bother and give people that will appreciate it
OMG i fell asleep lookin at it ,
thats how boring this thing looks .. i woke up when the financial news came on tv.
if that was an attempt at humor, you fail...
if not, you still fail.
and i care about something that has no use here because....
Check it out Engadget! North Americans are fairly discerning and don't buy PMPs every 2 months like your average fashion-crazy Japanese/Korean schoogirl/Otaku! We have big houses, which contain big TVs and entertainment centers, and we don't spend our lives crammed into trains on lengthy commutes!
Competition's a great thing, and I like seeing all the other products that are available (I see a lot traveling anyway), but you're always assuming North Americans are pining away for all these knock-off products, and they aren't - at least not en masse. If we were, we'd get them, that's how it works.
