i think ATT bought Engadget.. its has been an ATT Weekend thats for sure
More like AT&T is running scared with all the Pre leaks and is releasing everything they've got in a vain effort to capture the media hype...
Great, so when are they going to release a product I care about, like their version of Femtocells? It sucks being able to get cell coverage everywhere but my freakin' house.
someone's become leak-happy at ATT... seriously, isn't this what engadget mobile is for?
This is some fairly important news and has enough appeal to the normal Engadget primary reader for them to push.
I didn't mean this specific one, but i meant the whole ATT posts in general.
you not only read it but you also took time to leave a comment... your being hipocritical
Hypocritical is spelled with an y, just thought I'd mention it.
Now you can reach that "unlimited" 5GB bandwidth cap even quicker!
Post the 3G microcell slide engadget...do it!!
Ohh... me want
Wow, ear rape to the max. Don't click it.
UM yeah ok lets sell more stuff to clog our already choking network AND piss off more ifone users by keep their slingplayer crippled to WIFI only. lmao clear example of what i call six figure syndrome = execs who make more than 6 figures .It is the theoretical limit of intelligence for corp execs ..anything beyond it =dumb
fix the damn network first !!

I can't imagine what the monthly cost would be... good god.
cheaper then comcast i hope
Rodney is rolling in his grave. Triple Lindy? That's an impossible dive!
Great a faster way to burn through a 5GB cap...
I really don't understand these kind of comments... Just because you have faster access doesn't mean you're going to use more data. Sure, if you're downloading 24/7 over AT&T's crappy network then yes, you will indeed hit the cap faster. But for the average person it'll just be faster access to the same amount of data they use now.
@MRCUR
It's really quite simple, something you like that you can get more of faster you are going to use more of it. Especially on a laptop connect card, you can move more data faster....you ARE going to move more data.
Native support in OS X 10.6 is pretty nifty
Someone needs to call a plumber for AT&T. They've got some leaks in their 'tubes, and they're flowing epic win.
Great. If you were to run one of these at full speed, you'd use up the maximum bandwidth allocation that AT&T provides of 5GB/month in less than an hour, and you'd be hit with quarter/megabyte overages.
Someone (the Government?) needs to smack these providers down with their bandwidth caps. 5GB, I don't even download things and watch a single one-hour show per week on YouTube, and I use well over 5GB. What's the point?
lolwat
If I use, say, 100MB of data a day... all these are gonna do is let me get those 100MB faster.
I like that they keep the lopsidedness of the up/down ratio a bit in check with this 2:1 ratio. (2.5:1 for the slower obviously but who counts that)
