iRiver P35 headed to the US this fall

It certainly doesn't seem to have been in a rush to bring it to these shores, but iriver has now finally announced (in teaser form) that its P35 PMP will indeed be getting an official US release... this fall. That will version will obviously ditch the DMB TV found in its Korean counterpart, but it should be otherwise identical, including up to 16GB of storage (plus an SDHC card slot), a 4.3-inch WQVGA touchscreen, a full-fledged web browser (on the WiFi version, at least), a promised 16 hours of battery life (or seven for video) and, of course, iriver's trademark SPINN controls. No word on pricing just yet, as you might have guessed, but the Korean version started at the local equivalent of $286.

Why not replace DMB TV with ATSC?
I've heard that ATSC decoding is quite power-hungry and also typically needs a good antenna, so it wouldn't really be feasible on a portable device.
Anyone with more knowledge can correct me if I'm wrong, though...
will this replace my iPod touch 100%?
Your comment makes it painfully obvious that you are not in fact looking to replace your iTouch, so why even bother posting unless you find flamebait that hilarious?
So should I not be curious if this will replace my Ipod touch or not? Some people may ACTUALLY be looking to replace there ipod. don't be an arrogant a hole about it.
Don't say iTouch, makes you sound ignorant.
Don't say ignorant. It makes you sound elitist.
Well Guru's comment history revolves around the saying the iPhone is better then most other smartphones. And the fact is no iTouch owner will be looking to replace it with this, I like iRiver products (though I prefer Cowon), but the fact is that outside Korea their market is quite a niche for those who know exactly what they want in a PMP whereas the iTouch is the mass market, general pleaser.
And what's wrong with iTouch? Last time I checked it simply a shorted version of the full name and not used out of spite.
wow, 16 hours for music is quite pathetic, very disappointing from the usually good iriver...
wow so i'm looking for my next pmp n this guy not being nice
Will it replace iPod touch,?
It depends on what you want to do- it could probably replace my iPod touch, anyway. (Depending on how "full-featured" the browser is)
Tell us the resolution in NUMBERS, not circa-1991 embellishments of "VGA".
What about CGA, or EGA?
Does it have extended AND expanded memory? An 80-column card?
oh damn, i thought p35 referred to the motherboard inside the thing.
lawls.
Anyone know if the ipod can play xvid or wmv?
WQVGA = ~480x272 or 480x240
