I'll never touch another Hitachi product as long as I live.
I bought one of their first DLP TV's, a 60" 60V500 I think was the model name. The light engine started glowing red after about 6 months of use and quickly became unusable. Their customer service was TERRIBLE and they did not honor their warranty even though it was all over forums that the light engine in those models was going bad. After a couple years I just finally put it in my storage barn and gave up. About $3,000 lost to that company. Huge $3K paper weight.
Hitachi refuses to honor warranties and their customer service outright lies to their customers.
