Microsoft touts 30 million Xbox 360s sold, 20 million Xbox LIVE members

Sony may have been the first to claim the 20 million users number, but most will no doubt agree that Microsoft has a considerably stronger claim to that title, as their just-announced 20 million users apparently includes only "active members," and doesn't include users that have simply signed up to use their online forums. Even less debatable are Microsoft's latest sales numbers for the console, which now officially top 30 million worldwide. As Microsoft points out, that translates to a whopping $14.5 billion in sales across all Xbox 360 categories, or an impressive $5.9 billion in game sales for third-party publishers. Other tidbits include the fact that Xbox 360 users own 8.3 titles each on average, and that Xbox LIVE has seen a 136% increase in new members since the launch of the New Xbox Experience last year.

My friends PS3 was replaced free as well. One day aired the box to his house one day aired the console back to him. all free. took three days.

Let me just say this, I bought a 360 one month after it was shipped.
I bought an additional warranty to go with it.
And then microsoft increases the warranties for another year.
I had a 3 year warranty, no problems, nothing wrong with it. Until after 3 years ON THE DAY.
I get the RROD. I shit you not. So I towl tricked it probably 4 times before it died.
Fuck that. Piece of shit.
Hey does that mean only 30% of 360 owners were smart enough to flash their 360s to play backed up games and kept them off the net?...
20 million times to be called a F*G on Xbox Live.
Or the 'N' word. Just one more reason for me to think Halo was one of the whackest games ever.
What makes you think it's any different on PSN or on PC?

Never got a PS3. I Play COD4 on the PC, haven't ran into any immature douchebags so far. *knocks on wood*
Then there are multiple causes/explanations for that:
1) CoD4 isn't as popular on PC as I thought.
2) Not everyone has a microphone on the PC.
3) Different servers get different traffic. It's luck of the draw, really, and depends on what the admins allow.
4) You're lying, because there's immature douche bags on every game on every platform. Simple fact.
I still don't get the point of the avatars. I have one. It just sits on my dashboard- er- NXE- and does nothing. What the hell good are they?
This stupid console is shit. I had it for 2 months and its freezing up, it wont let me play my friends etc. i cant imagine how they could have made 30 million sales on this shit.
