Bedroom DJs who can't actually be bothered to, you know, mix records and such: You're gonna be thrilled by this next bit of news. According to USA Today, Jay-Z and Eminem have joined our man DJ Shadow in attaching their names (and beats) to Activision's latest. The special-edition release of DJ Hero will reportedly bundle greatest hits CDs from both artists, a limited edition controller, a "DJ stand" (whatever that is -- perhaps a gilded pedestal like the one Sven Vath performs on?) and a metal traveling case. I was gonna do a reasonable argument and try to make you see the light, but the guys above me have done a fine job with reason. So I give you one word:

You are lame and obviously ill-informed. Have you ever touched a turntable? Did you suck? Perhaps that's why you can't appreciate it as art. When you learn how to use a turntable to create sounds of your own, you can comment without sounding like an idiot. You just a much, and logically more options for creating music with turntables than with any other instrument I've ever used. You are using prerecorded sounds that you have the ultimate ability to effect in terms of pitch, volume, speed, etc. Why would that not be a legitimate art form? I think you clearly don't understand turntablism, or hip-hop. People said the same thing about rock n' roll and jazz. You should be ashamed. Study up first, dummy.

Yeah ever since we all tarred and feathered the Wii a few years ago and talked about how hard it would bomb, I think we should all be fired from making gaming predictions.... what im just saying.
