Are you dying to see Nokia's latest, the
N97 ripped to shreds in glorious moving pictures? Well, that's too bad: we don't have that. What we do have, however, is a series of photographs of said shred-ripping, turned into a video. A creepy, silent film, if you will, complete with subtitles. Lack of movement and sound aside, it gives us a pretty great look at the innards of the handset, if that's what you're into. Sure, it's not
The Goldrush, but if you want to see the N97 in a talkie, there's always that
Royksopp video, right? Full video after the break.
[Thanks, Mike]
They should have had Rush's Moving Pictures playing in the background.
AHAHAH this is just the assembly of the phone arranged backwards you stupid noobs
How do you explain them "prying" something on at step 13 then?
Idiot
Umm, the N97 isn't Nokia's latest. They've announced about 20,000 newer phones since the N97 was announced in December.
Since when is a motherboard, called an engine board?
lol.
Because we don't call out mommies like you do for your breast milk...
AHAHAAHAH
@Major_Player: I don't get it.
Insightful guide, I might hold off for a little while upon arrival of mine though! They don't mention whether the N97 worked again after that surgery of course...
Its true. They're so bad they have the greatest market share.
By the way, if you read with your ears that probably explains why you think Nokias are rubbish...
It's their latest flagship, I guess.
damnit. that was @iLoveApple
Yeah. But they're phones don't get as much coverage as the iPhone, Pre, or even the Storm. They need to something that is mind-blasting. Anything can blow your mind. I want something that can blast my mind. Plus, they're from Finland - WTF.
In conclusion, I told you why Nokia sucks, what they need to do, and why they will never leave finland.
urhhhhhhh
isn't Motorola the worst?
they SUCK xD
If you equate coverage in US to coverage, then your right. Nokia has done poorly in the US in the smartphone arena. This does not mean it has poor coverage. Nokias are as prolific in the EU/Latin America/Asia as iPhones are in the SF/NY Sub Way.
Oh btw, your ignorant racism is showing.

I see the Russell Peters reference. hah!
@ Abhishek
Haha. I was hoping someone would. He so funny.
I don't see anything bad in this 'disassembling'. Im still buyin this juan!
so i was on hold on the nokia support line for a couple hours and then they are still advertising the n95 8gb. just to show how popular that phone is.
Those are pictures taken from the N97's service manual, so they're quite confidential. Well, supposedly.
Indeed, it doesn't look like they disassembled the phone themselves but photographed a manual.
One thing I would have really liked to see is someone disassembling the phone, and after that, assembling it again, switching it on and making a phone call. That would be cool. It is always a nightmare not being able to put it back together again or losing small parts... aarghhhh!!!
Can I have an assembly guide now >.
