Were SO far away from ditching Cable/Sat because the content is just not there yet. Two weeks ago, us hard core Road Racing lovers got all 25 hours of coverage of the 24 hours of Le Mans, which 5 or 6 hours of it was available via Speedtv.com. It was the HD stream and used Flash.
Sorry kiddies but its Sports and P0rn that move technologies forward, there isn't enough casual interest in "The Family Guy" and other shows to push things forward.
Besides power will just shift from content providers to telephony companies, so yea BRING on Internet based TV and within 10 years you'll be bitching about ditching your phone company because they are charging too much for TV....
