PSP Go first hands-on! (updated)

Well we battled the mob to get our first hands on with Sony's latest PSP -- the Go! It was actually fairly light in hand, but not un-solid feeling. We thought there could be a little more depth between your thumbs and palm of your hand, and it felt a bit hard to locate the shoulder buttons, but that may be because we're used to the older model. 1. THE SCREEN IS THE SAME SIZE
2. IT IS A PSP "4000" SERIES NOT PSP 2, IF THEY ADDED A SECOND ANALOG STICK HOW WOULD U EXPECT TO PLAY ALL THE OTHER GAMES FOR PSP? YOU COULDNT! YOU GUYS ARE CRYING ABOUT NOT BEING ABLE TO PLAY UMD FORMAT, BUT YOU WOULDNT BE ABLE TO WITH TWO ANALOG STICKS! THAT WOULD JUST BE DISCONTINUING ALL THE OLD PSP'S, AND THAT WOULD CAUSE YOU TO CRY AGAIN.... SO EVERYONE STFU ABOUT 2 ANALOG STICKS AND WAIT UNTIL THE PSP2 COMES OUT! WHICH I EXPECT MAYBE 2-3 YEARS..... THIS IS JUST A PSP UPDATE TO GO AGAINST THE NINTENDO i THING. I WOULDNT BE SURPRISED IF THERES ANOTHER UPDATE VERSION AT E3 NEXT YEAR AGAIN.
3. TOUCH SCREEN? NO! YOU COULDNT USE IT IN GAME, AND AGAIN MAYBE IN THE PSP2 NOT THIS VERSION BECAUSE OLD PSP USERS WOULDNT BE ABLE TO PLAY WITH THE FEATURE. THINK ABOUT WHAT YOUR SAYING PEOPLE, WHAT YOUR SAYING IS NOT MAKING SENSE.

I don't know. The mylo 2 is touchscreen so I believe it will be an unlockable feature via an update in the near future

several things: Where are the volume buttons? The screen brightness button (not really a problem, but is it still there or is it gone?)? the usb port? is there still a video out? then where the hell is it, 'cause I ain't seeing it?

otherwise, nice thing, I understand that they wouldn't want to change the internal configuration too much due to compatibility, but really guys, at least cut this things price to where the PSP is now, and cut that one's price by something too.

...and invent some way to let the ppl trade in their UMD's for virtual downloads... really, I still have a PSP-1000, I was waiting for an upgrade, it's falling apart now, but I don't want to buy a PSP-3000 and a PSPgo!

and thanks a bunch for making me buy one type of memory sticks that I can now practically throw away in the trash!

on the other hand... I will buy that thing once it comes out ... :D

Sexy was the fake one engadget kept throwing up as a replacement psp possibility. Remember? the pic that was sliding as well like this but a rectangular shell and nothing but screen when closed?

I personally think that its a little to small and that the slide-out controls is a little complicated some one told me that they were going to keep the controls like the original PSPand add a slide-out keyboard that would be better ( in my opinion). Also I think it's to light that if you drop it it would break very easily.

still too girly isnt it..and the price is too much... PSP is now popular not because of it (the PSP) instead the idea of being hacked..lol its like a tennis game psp vs hackers..i think they probably remove the umd drive cause of piracy..games in slim and fat were all for FREE!!

It's kind of ironic that everyone complains about the price on this when it costs less than a comparable (16Gb) iPod Touch and is significantly more awesome. Yet, everyone worships Apple, go figure.

the new psp go is going to be amazing, the graphics and CPU all have been upgraded. I'm glad there going to lose the UMD disk, they were crap! bring on the SD style games. don't forgot once released you can actually get a free psp go from http://freesonypspgo.co.uk

The Brits don't seem to rate it too highly. Picked up a not-so-briliant 3 stars here:
