TomTom announces special edition "White Pearl" nav system

Navigation systems don't often get the same special edition treatment given to cellphones and other gadgets, but TomTom looks to be doing its small part to change that, and it's now announced its new "White Pearl" edition nav unit. As you might expect, however, apart from that eye-catching exterior, this one is basically just a re-purposed version of one of TomTom's existing devices -- a TomTom ONE IQ Routes edition, in this case. While the specs no doubt remain the same, TomTom has at least gone so far as to add a new start-up screen that fills out the design, not to mention a few new, totally not obvious special points of interest like "Places to be seen" and "Shop 'til you drop." No word on a release 'round here, but it looks like folks in the UK will be able to pick one up this month for £179.99, or just about $300 even.

So you can be looking at something beautiful while you obey it and drive off the cliff.

Hope the software is better than in my Tomtom, as mine likes to take me through the worst roads available and likes to make me take a 5$ toll bridge just to turn around and take it again...
Must be a hidden setting.
It will take a lot of time to see this product in our shops. Tom tom is little known in Romania, only some online shops sell this brand.

I wounder if they will include the new entry, White Pearl, in their offer at the end of the June? It will be interesting to see the price.

As if GPS weren't already appealing to thieves.
I like it though - everyone likes a lil bit of personality in their consumer electronics. Even if its the same personality as everyone else's.
This will make all the woman carrying the ordinary black gps around in the purses pleased...

A Femenin GPS that gives me orders,
I have one of these allready I call here wife 2.0.
Swapper her in for the 1.0 version since that one was sendig me into the wrong direction.
This one has updates maps and is the new younger improoved version.
Will 3.0 have google so I can wikipedia her on how she thinks and works?
I have tried several gps divices, but no one I have tried so far is as good as the tomtom gps. It is the easy-to-use features and reliable software that makes it better than the other once I' tried.
It will take a lot to switch over to another brand again.
