Video: iPhone 3GS gets a guided tour
Sure, you think you've learned all there is to know about Apple's new iPhone 3G S, but have you had its every feature explained and demonstrated for you by an unrealistically calm, factory-fresh ApplePerson over the course of 14 minutes in one of the company's trademark guided tours? Trust us, it's like taking a bubble bath in technology. Hit the read link for video.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
DarwinianReject @ Jun 8th 2009 6:09PM
LOL! All the people that complain about the number of Apple-related posts by commenting just add to the comment count. So at the end of the year when Engadget posts their "Top 10 most commented posts of the year" and 9 out of those 10 are Apple-related, they can can comment on how Apple-related posts get too many comments! Keep it up guys!
Errorkid @ Jun 8th 2009 6:15PM
Phew, almost installed Apple Quicktime
ash @ Jun 8th 2009 6:17PM
People are getting pissy about the amount of posts but then you look at the poll and 58% of poll takers have voted for the 3GS so obviously people are eating this shit up.
OneLove @ Jun 8th 2009 6:20PM
Is that OJ!!????

I NEED A IPHONE @ Jun 8th 2009 6:28PM
The other guy was much better.
I liked the old iPhone guy.
Wonder what happened to him?
Fernando @ Jun 8th 2009 6:33PM
New guided tour. " " " " " " video record " " " " " compass " " " " ". Sounds like one of those played out radio songs that never stop playing oh wait it is new, a remix.
shaunisadirty @ Jun 8th 2009 6:34PM
@Ash, it's a poll on a site that is biased towards Apple. You can't honestly believe in it.
Jakob @ Jun 8th 2009 6:34PM
Okay that's a first time experience:
@I NEED A IPHONE first spam with an ugly site and after that ask questions about the video. The world is odd..
toxicpiano @ Jun 8th 2009 7:00PM
I quite liked the guy with the glasses, but this gentleman's smug levels are of the charts, even by Apple's standards (I'm a mac user).
musback @ Jun 9th 2009 3:56PM
All i can see is "Please upgrade to the latest quicktime"
All i can think of is "Thanks, but no thanks."
Apple ain't touching my computer.

j0nd4m4n @ Jun 8th 2009 6:08PM
How come every iPhone guided tour guy looks like a D-bag.
shaunisadirty @ Jun 8th 2009 6:10PM
It's not just the iPhone tours that have d-bags, all Apple guided tours look like d-bags. I'm would bet money being an Apple guided tour person killed their acting careers.
Steveorevo @ Jun 9th 2009 7:01AM
I guess it's who you identify with more, fat ass zune tattoo guy, err PC Guy, err Steve Balmer, or the non-coronary artery group.
superhobo @ Jun 9th 2009 7:23AM
Because they've just returned from the World Wide D-bag Conference.
grull27 @ Jun 8th 2009 6:06PM
Thanks for this unique, insightful & descriptive about the iPhone. This articles was definitely necessary. -_-
Jakob @ Jun 8th 2009 6:07PM
^^ Seriously shut up and look on Gizmodo's frontpage, it's worse (or better), depends..
Anthony M. @ Jun 8th 2009 6:07PM
How come this guy didn't chime in when all the Matte finish / front facing camera / makes breakfast rumors were flying around?
jd @ Jun 8th 2009 6:08PM

Dr. Spaceman @ Jun 8th 2009 6:33PM

Please STOP no more
waiownsyou @ Jun 8th 2009 6:09PM
Why is OJ Simpson teaching me about this faster iPhone?
Wormbolt @ Jun 8th 2009 9:18PM
Want to kill your wife and her boyfriend? There's an app for that!
christianhoopes @ Jun 8th 2009 6:10PM
ENGADGET: You need to be making a big big big deal over the inability for existing 3G customers to not be able to get the upgrade pricing until 18 months! How is that not the major headline of the day? That is gigantic! Most people I know who have the 3G think they're going to waltz into an AT&T store in 2 weeks and pick up a new phone for $199. How AT&T would not give people an option to just add like 6 months onto a new 3GS contract is beyond me.
shaunisadirty @ Jun 8th 2009 6:14PM
No, Engadget should focus on how almost everything "new" to the 3Gs could easily be accomplished via software on the 3G and 1st gen. Voice commands...software based, video recording...software based. Sure it may be faster on this new one, but that's because of the hardware, which in my opinion isn't worth a new contract or paying for a new phone. The only good thing about the new phone is the compass, as my 3G tends to direct me in the wrong direction, but still, that alone isn't worth a new contract or price of phone.
Jay @ Jun 8th 2009 7:01PM
Maybe because that is the way it is for EVERY cell phone user with a contract. Owning an iPhone 3g doesn't make you special. That's life.
It's called a smart phone. If you own one, you should be smart enough to understand your contract.
drummerjd2000 @ Jun 8th 2009 7:21PM
I hope people start talking about this a LOT more in the coming weeks. I believe this is almost worthy of a class action lawsuit. I will tell you that if you lose your iphone, you will be charged FULL retail price regardless of your standing with AT&T. I lost my16gb 3g two weeks ago and was expected to pay $600 to replace it. Or? Or you must go with another phone and adjust the contract accordingly-including fees and penalties. It is SO unbelievably misleading, hence the class action.
TiVo @ Jun 8th 2009 7:41PM
And it is available with the FREE 3.0 software update for all iphones.
jarv @ Jun 10th 2009 11:14AM
Apple aren't the only company guilty of this! Nokia N96 released October 2008, N97 on sale now I don't see my provider offering me an upgrade to the N97!
The Walrus @ Jun 8th 2009 6:10PM
Why does everyone who demonstrates Apple products looks like a complete tool? Is this pre or post product use?
The Walrus @ Jun 8th 2009 6:18PM
Also since when is MMS a new feature?
rita hainsworth @ Jun 8th 2009 9:12PM
Tool?...he can drill me any day.
The Walrus @ Jun 8th 2009 9:14PM
That's because you're a whore
MohammadAG @ Jun 8th 2009 6:13PM
I always like Engadget until things like these happen.
Can't you make an iPhone/Apple section for your site?
Like Engadget iPhone or Engadget Apple.
Kamil @ Jun 8th 2009 6:14PM
you mean like TUAW? aka their sister site?
Evangelion @ Jun 8th 2009 6:15PM
Or iEngadget.
Mark @ Jun 8th 2009 6:13PM
This just in: The iphone 3GS can be purchased in "stores"
Kamil @ Jun 8th 2009 6:16PM
