Video: iPhone 3GS looks the same but it's not, really
We know what you're thinking, and so does Apple: the iPhone 3G S look just like the existing iPhone 3G. True, on the outside. The glory's in the higher performing guts (that will remain a mystery until teardown and possibly beyond). We're still not 100 percent clear what features will be 3G S only (we're sorting that out now), but video recording seems to be one of 'em even though jailbreakers have been recording video on iPhones for ages. Must be a quality thing. See Apple's first iPhone 3G S ad after the break.

So I just tried to buy online and it said that I had to bring in ID, a credit card, etc. to the Apple Store. Does this mean that I got denied or does it mean they need to verify my ID? I had entered an address that didn't verify.
I should be good finance wise, but I don't want to drive the 50 miles to my nearest Apple store to be told I got shot down if that is what happened.
Here. I have something.
On AT&T's website, this is what I get under EVERY phone in the upgrades section thingy.
"As a valued AT&T customer, you may be eligible for an upgrade on this line, with no-commit equipment pricing and without signing a 2-year commitment. Click 'Upgrade Today' to view your upgrade options."
And on Apple, I get this under my iPhone3G.
"On 03/12/2010, you may qualify for a standard iPhone upgrade."
What's the deal? Can I upgrade or not!?
Maybe
You need to follow through the rest of the AT&T links in order to get them same message there. Click Upgrade Today and follow the rest.
I really enjoy the new OS 3.0 update and what it will contain. But as far as the iPhone 3GS, there is no way I will be paying $399-$499 for it. That is way too much money. I own the iPhone 3G, and halfway through my contract. I would rather wait till my contract is up or close to being up, and pay $199-$299. Almost everything that the iPhone 3GS has, the iPhone 3G will have. Sure, it doesn't have voice control, video, and the compass, as well as faster speeds, but it's worth waiting till you contract is atleast close to being up so you don't have to pay AT&T those outrageous prices. I do wish though that Apple would allow the video recording feature to be included in the OS 3.0 update for iPhone 3G, as well as voice control and the compass. Is it really that hard for the iPhone 3G to support those features???? Really, give me a break Apple! That is just your way of controlling who gets what. I hope atleast tethering is supported with iPhone 3G when AT&T decides to bring it out???? But really, is it that hard to add that to the iPhone 3G? Wouldn't it be just a simple software configuring issue???? I know that the iPhone 3G can support video, because everyone else who has jailbroken their iPhone 3G can record video. So it shouldn't be that hard! All in all, I am satisfied with this update.
why iPhone 3G wont record video?
I don’t consider it’s worth buying the new iPhone 3G S, unless your carrier offers you a cheap upgrade option. The OS 3.0 will bring a lot of 3G S’ features, excepting the 7.2MBps HSPA, 3 MP camera, better processor, and a few more. If you don’t really need those features, go for the OS 3.0 and keep your current iPhone 3G.
However, fans of the iPhone are cheered when Apple's iPhone 3G S made its debut. Also, most users would like to put DVDs movie video on iPhone 3G S. I’ve found a good tutorial about import DVD / video to iphone 3GS/ iPhone 3G:
