Unearthed Circuits' Drone Machine could replace your Dalek band

If you like your music -- and we mean you really like your music -- with plenty of beeps and buzzes, the gang at Unearthed Circuits have a little something that'll be right up your proverbial alley (especially if your name is La Monte Young and that alley is in New York City, ca. 1963). The Drone Machine is a synth that allows you to control each of four oscillators via the joystick. It's got pitch knobs, photo-resistors, a strobe circuit, and a handful of effects, including: overdrive, fuzz, and a ring modulator. Ready to get your avante-noise band off the ground? You've been talking it up for years now. But first, check out the video of the thing in action after the break.

does it have a sanwa joystick with an octagonal gate?
and is that a bat top i see?
i bet i could mod that for an x box.
dragon punches all day
fun noise maker.
Looking at it, I figured I'd pause the vid about fifteen seconds in but I actually listened to the whole thing. It really has potential in the right hands... and at first I thought it wouldn't be this guy but the more I listened, the better it sounded. (Well, he either got better or my brain melted and dribbled out my ear...)

Hmmmm... Any one would need one for what?
Oh. My. God...
NEED!
Cool. I used to own one of those back in 1978 when it was called the Atari 2600.
Am I the only one who thinks you could make sum wicked house and techno music with this thing?
possibly, yes.
The seizure-inducing LED is possibly the best part...
That would be a fun instrument to combine with marijuana.
DAL-EKS CAN NEVER BE RE-PLACED! YOU WILL BE EX-TERM-INATED FOR THIS BLASPHEMY!
Love it ! Completely insane, especially from 3:34.
Sweet. 7:43 of noise.
Not bad... At first I figured I'd turn off the video within fifteen seconds but I actually listened to the whole thing... I don't think that it would ever replace the Daleks, however I do think that the Doctor would have a hell of a time messing with it and confusing the crap out of the Daleks. ^_^ Me likey!
some of that sounded like it was going to break my speakers.. but it was pretty cool i must admit. its amazing what can be done with sound when you distort it.
Do it again! I wonder if he could "perform" that again, just like the first time, or how much was completely ramdom/luck/bad luck.
Noise.
The Daleks would probably find this box very annoying. "Exterminate!"
If you like glitch check out Disciple Grin (Bil Bless).
The only problem with your description is that Mr. Youngs greatest body of works was all acoustic: piano or voice
I just saw a claymation music video a few days ago that had this exact box as its main character(s). All the nobs had faces and sung when activated. It was really slick, anybody know what I'm talking about because I can't find it!
