iPhone 3G S processor specs: 600MHz CPU, 256MB of RAM

Apple's being pretty cagey with the hard specs of the iPhone 3G S, but apparently T-Mobile Netherlands didn't get the message -- it's just posted up a specs page listing 256MB of RAM and a 600MHz CPU. That's up from 128MB and 412MHz in the first-gen and the 3G, and it's basically exactly what was rumored. Of course, the 3G S also has that new PowerVR SGX graphics chip that supports OpenGL ES 2.0, so the total speed boost is probably more than just pure clock speed, but we'll find out for sure when we get our hands on one.

Mine was an Apple IIe as well, played Karateka on it for awhile... then the IBM PC XT (33MHz, turbo to 66MHz), 5.25" floppy drive, no HDD.. I think Larry 1 was available already back then..

I support the iPhone because you won't get nearly as much of a community with any other phone. The Palm Pre looks to be the closest that could possibly offer a decent community, but it's lacking a lot, such as storage space. In the time I took to post this message, 3 more apps became available on the App Store. You just won't get that type of community elsewhere.

Does the iPhone have the best hardware or best features? Probably not. But it does have the best support for software. I wouldn't buy a Mac if I wanted to play a lot of video games, because Windows simply had 10x as good of support for gaming than Mac. Even if the Apple's performance were better.

I'm sorry, but the support on the applications are just that much better for the iPhone. And as long as the iPhone is powerful enough, and had enough features to support the applications, I don't need anything else hardware-wise.

The fact that you post something about the iphone, proves that you are interested in iphone. The iphone is the best phone. Why? Becaus is apple, because is only two years old and compares with phones that have been here for ages (nokia, samsung, lg....), because it is very beautiful and slim, because it introduced the accelerometer (n95 had it but nobody knew), because of the multitouch, the app store and so on. Multi tasking? Jailbreake it. 12 mp camera? Only pros need that (even if it would be nice :))
So shut up, enjoy this amazing phone. Nothing is perfect, i can say a lot of things about the n97, the palm, the touch pro 2, but I will not. Why? Because these are very good phones, made bysome very smart people, for us. And what do we do? F**k with theyr work. Wanna have the perfect phone? Design it and make it.
I love my iphone that has a horrible camera, no multi tasking and so on, but that has impressive games and can run winmo on it.

K all features and specs aside..I have used many other phones before, but nohing I repeat NOTHING COMES CLOSE TO iPhones multitouch screen it's perfectly responsive and never have to push hard on the screen!! For GODS sake this only feature by itself is equal to all other phones with small screens and a bazillion keys!! One giant screen best games iPhone is a clear winner
