BlackBerry Curve 8520 with T-Mobile branding walks in front of a camera
A BlackBerry 8520 bound for T-Mobile? Really, we're not surprised, having heard whispers not too long ago, and while not yet official, some gung ho Crackberry forum members have posted some shots of the branded phone in the wild, with just a dash of Mr. Blurrycam stylings for good effect. No indication of a release date here, but if you're really jonesing for a new 2.5G BlackBerry, last we heard it was coming fourth quarter of this year.
Update: That white trackpad isn't quite what it seems. According to the original poster, it's just a plastic covering. We hate to disappoint anyone who actually dug the new shade.

So, there's two versions? One with a white track pad?
Yup, and they're both ugly.
The 8000 series will never die.
Sweet! Another blackberry!!!! Good thing, because last month's model was getting obsolete.
First myTouch 3G article and now new Blackberry curves. That means the next article is going to be Touch Pro 2 for Sprint. Right Right???!?! :)
2.5G? No T-Mobile 3G love?
Is this RIM's Centro? It looks like it.
I was going to say a fuglier verision Nokia's E-71 or the SamDUNG knock-off's coming out every other day.
why does it have the old style keyboard and not the one that is pictured on crackberry's review?
nvm im talking about the onyx.
wow.. there are way too many blackberries that are coming out in the next few months
Still not sure how RIM keeps selling Centro ripoffs..
It's not a Centro rip-off, this is an actual smartphone (albeit a low-end model), not a teen messaging phone. Though I do agree in the fact that there are way too many Berries coming out. RIM should keep it simple:
-Low-end Pearl Flip (I love mine, perfect for portability and the keyboard is great)
-Mid-End Curve (Only one model, 3G not necessary, wi-fi yes, the 8900 is close to perfect)
-High-End Bold (But if the Tour could replace this, it would need wi-fi, but that keyboard is stellar)
-Touchscreen Storm (This is actually a pretty good phone for those who don't mind losing the keyboard and want a big screen)
I say kill the rest of the curves and pearls, and RIM would have a pretty solid lineup for both consumers and professionals.
How in the world is the Centro not a real smartphone? It has the same interior guts as the Treo 755p. (Well, little less RAM on most models)
Give it Wi-Fi, an OLED touch screen, and replace the trackball with the trackpad. Voila! The perfect BlackBerry! I'm happy with my 8220, in fact, it's the best phone I've ever owned, but there is room for improvement in some areas (web browser!!!).
Here in Mexico, Telcel still tries to sell Centros and Moto-Qs, branding them as the "most innovating handsets", available free of charge on a supposedly unlimited (expensive as hell) data plan, and tries to nickel-and-dime you for everything. Oh, and did I forget the false advertising? They advertised a BlackBerry 8220 as having unlimited internet for around $15, when in reality this was just a simple phone plan (not even a good one, sixty minutes and 5 text messages only).
Whoah, stupid 1Password tried to remember the contents of my previous comment as well as my user and pass, sorry!
Yup...T-Mobile & 2.5 G Go hand in hand.
This phone appears in the movie The Hangover when Phil is making a call in the desert.
I'm glad its not a white touchpad.
White + Touch X Heavy Use = Gross
