Living as we are, in the season of predictions, here's one from me: Google will soon launch a Android 2.0, optimized for ARM, with support for multi-touch, built-in Chrome and other google baddies (= erstwhile goodies), and offer it on a platter to ODMs in Taiwan. Meanwhile Wintel will up the ante, although with Intel's recent interest in Windriver, there are reasons to believe that the L word is moving closer to the Atom. Will it be the ARMs race or the Atom bomb that will win? IMO, this will be decided largely by the ODMs - they will play the king maker, although the battle between ARM and Atom will likely stretch for no less than another year or so....
