Jimmy Fallon is quite possibly the worst host in late night history. Instead of having celebrities on he has this dude from Engadget? What a moron! I can't wait to see him fail at this like he did as a stand up comic, actor and as a human being over all.

I thought the first go-round was excellent and hope for the same.
I don't think the iPhone 3GS is that great a gadget to bring though. It looks and operates exactly the same as the other iPhones so it's tough for that to be an exciting thing to show off. I think it's a great phone, but I don't think the upgrade is easy to show on TV and get people excited over.
Personally, I'm hoping that it's something else.

It's going to be the Sony Ericsson SATIO (IDOU), i don't really think that they going to present the iphone 3gs only to show that it does now MMS, "copy cut and paste", has more 1 megapixel, stereo bluetooth and video recording.

SATIO as
12MP with Xenon flash plus video light (iphone 3gs 3.15MP and not even a LED light)
VIDEO CALL(never understand why USA never used this feature) (iphone as no video call not even with the primary camera)
360 x 640 pixels, 3.5 inches screen (iphone as 320 x 480 pixels, 3.5 inches)
MMS? yes since 2002 with the T68 (iphone comes 7 years late)


Anyway, hope him talks on the show about Satio or other great phone than the iphone

You know, I just don't get why people sit and whine and bitch about this.

THIS IS A GADGET SITE

to use "old" lingo, CONSUMER ELECTRONICS. Note the word "consumer in there"

if we are truly gadget nerds, we eat sleep breathe these cool electronic devices that we love so much. And you know what? A big part of that industry is marketing and advertising. It simply wouldn't exist without it. The could not exist if advertising for it did not occur.

And yes, companies have joint marketing ventures. Engadget is owned by weblogs, inc, which is owned by AOL, which is operated by Time Warner. NBC is owned by GE and Vivendi. Of course there are promotional deals going on, both of those companies own hundreds of subsidiaries that have cross links. That's just business dude, nothing wrong with it.

And you guys who think Josh is being paid by Apple to do this are just ignorant tools. I'm sure he's getting paid for his time to appear - it's his JOB. Do you go to work all day for free? I don't expect Josh to either. But if you think he gets paid some exorbitant amount or paid by Apple or whatever, you just have no clue of how the world works.

Josh isn't a fanboy. Wait, yes he is actually. He's a fanboy of COOL GADGETS. Just like me. And you.

I don't get why people sit on here and say "oh he looks like a douche" and shit like that. The guy seems like a pretty real, nice guy to me. Oh because you don't agree with every single opinion that he has? You hate him for it? You have never had a difference of opinion with a friend or family member? Does it make you hate them for it if they prefer something else than you? Man, these guys are people, not some nameless machines or something. I challenge all haters to listen to the podcast, and see that the editors are actual, normal, smart people.

Dude is living the dream. What real gadget nerd wouldn't want his job? I say mad props to all you guys at Engadget, and keep up the great work.
