Well, it kind of is. These three guys probably had their parents preorder the phone. They are just in line for the experience. Must love the experience of being ridiculed.
just went to my local AT&T store and they had the 3G s out on display, it is faster than the 3G.
the compass feature is pretty sweet. i cant wait to pick mine up tomorrow.
I like Apple stuff and all, but that's just a tad ridiculous. Getting on line a day early. I did the same thing for the Wii kind of. Except I got up early the morning of and got to the store an hour or 2 before it opened, so I didn't waste a day of my life waiting.
I agree. I got to the mall 2 hours before opening to pick up a ps3 and wii for christmas. That is completely different from waiting in line to get an item you can get 5 hours later just strolling in.
Screw all you haters, I love my iphone and hate mac otherwise. Anyone with any logic in technology will see that the iphone has passed the other phones in specs, an upgrade is an upgrade, I'm going to be there tomorrow morning hours before they open so I can get my phone that I preordered. I'm not stupid enough to wait in line while it's raining 24 hours ahead but give the kids some slack, they're having fun.

This is it people, this is what the world has come to. People are dying, people are starving, a lot of them could do with our help. These genius's are actually waiting in a line to buy a phone. It's as if they will be the only ones to get it the stupid thing. Does this phone give you super powers, maybe it will convert them from the sad nerds they are into actual real humans who interact with other humans. Once they've got their phones...what then? Are they going to go home and rub each other with them?
I'm actually stunned more people don't find this idiotic. People should be hurling fruit at them. Hey I love my gadgets, I really do. But waiting in a line to get one I can happily get without waiting or simply a week later...why?
The experience?...I nearly died reading that. Have these people ever done anything fun in their miserable lives...I could literally name a million activities they could be doing instead. We all could.

i see this is the place for people filled with rage, and an irrational hatred for a company and its products to hang out and write venomous posts about people they've never met? and you guys think these kids have issues?! yeah, sure, waiting 24 hours for a phone is crazy, but then again, so is waiting 40 minutes for a 2 minute ride at a theme park which provides far lower roi, imo. seriously, there's just way too much hate here.

I'd much rather go to work so I could afford the things I want--such as the iPhone 3GS--than waste all that time to spend money I could be making DURING that time slot. The this: http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_n97-2615.php takes things well beyong the iPhone it seems a little silly to brave the rain for a phone locked to a carrier (more or less). The iPhone is a fine piece of hardware but it's still playing catch up. It's nice to see that Apple's marketing department still has it going on.
Believe me, am a big Apple fan myself but really? I mean it's nice to see that iPhone users can finally picture message their friends with a yet still lackluster camera. Oh well, you get the point.
