Sirius killed themselves when they started charging separately for streaming. Entering a space with a subscription fee when other better services are free is just stupid.

and didn't see it. maybe its part of the "Premium Online"?
Well, according to the channel listing lineup by clicking on the picture in this post, no, Howard 100 and 101 won't be included. You get pretty much everything except the MLB/NFL/NHL/NBA game channels (get the NFL, MLB channels) and Howard channels.
That is pretty lame, I would consider getting the app and replacing receiver in car with this on my phone given they had Howard and the sound quality was decent.
Wow I think your right. I cant believe they don't have Howard on this thing. You can stream it online, I don't understand. Sports is the only thing they usually don't stream. This sucks.
Apparently there's a difference between "online streaming" and "mobile streaming."
"SIRIUS & XM offer all of the channels for which we have mobile performance rights. For that reason, certain channels which may be available on your satellite radio or online radio service may not be available on a mobile device like the iPhone."
Guess Howard's contract didn't include mobile devices. Wanh-waaaanh...
Why on earth would you want this app, i mean no sports for the sports people and no howard for the howard peope, what does that leave 7 people listening to 80's music that is repeated every 2 hours?
Well like i said before, Pocket Tunes is basically like listening to it on a computer web browser and yes you get Howard Stern.

My uncle has Sirius and it is awesome Amazing live sports coverage in his car all the time and of course music ,comedy and what not, but now I will have it on my Iphone!!! My uncle wants to get an Iphone now!!! only because of how easy it will be for him to get Sirius out of the car, He said I should get Apple stock because of Sirius because all his buddies that have Sirius wnr ti get the Iphone because of this...

Equivalent XM app has been on my WinMo phone for 2 years now, and I have to say it's not worth it at the prices they're offering. Maybe you can talk them down on price like you can the regular sat radio service.

well XM for WinMo when I had it in 07 was $9.99. Naturally the prices go up, I'm not sure how much it is now with AT&T. However it isn't the same Sirius/XM as you would have in your car, it's some stream channels that offer. Still was worth it, terrible on the battery streaming over 3G though.
$3/month for existing subscribers? When I get web streaming for free? Bah, knew I shouldn't have fallen for the prepaid XM two years ago. When that runs out, I'm done with Sirius/XM.

I listen to Howard every morning on the PocketRadio App. Looks like that will have to continue...btw I doubt this has to do with Howard himself and more with how it's sold to advertisers.
Doesn't work on a first gen ipod touch with OS 3.0
Basically I sent them an email saying: Blah blah about stern and that if I can listen to it for free and can't pay for it, I wont be subscribing to it. I have a free trial in my jeep and love it but wont be continuing service I guess.
lol.. i just got a 4dr wrangler about 3 months ago and it came with a year of sirius free. so naturally i was excited to see this app.
until i installed it and it asked me to visit their website and give them more money. no thanks.

People, this has nothing to do with Stern wanting more money. I'm an avid listener and anyone else who is will remember Stern himself talking about this App about a month ago and how excited he was that so many more people will be able to hear the show. Sirius/XM, you better fix this soon or you facing some more problems on top of the monumental ones you already have!

I am quite pissed off as I was really looking forward to streaming this at work on my phone since my work blocks streaming on web...
I would get pandora but its blocked in Canada. What a sad day!

People will want Stern, or sports. They have neither steaming on the app.
Which leaves some music stations, which are covered by more then a dozen different apps already in the app store (with no monthly fee).
And some talk hosts that are exclusive to Sirius.
I hoped that Sirius wouldn't shoot themselves in the foot with this app and that is exactly what they did.
Agreed...and that BS about not have mobile streaming privileges is lame, come on now, Howard would be more than agreeable to getting that done. That just doesn't sound right at all. Managers of SIRIUS = MAJOR FAIL, for how they market and how they develop the product.

I got an email back from SiriusXM saying that there is an issue with some content and mobile delivery. Total BS. I have a laptop that has built in 3G mobile access. I can jump on any web browser and log into Sirius Internet Radio. How is that different than an iPod Touch or iPhone? I have access via both cellular and wi-fi already. This seems plainly iPhone/iPod discriminatory.
How to listen to Howard for free.
1) Get the Shoutcast app.
2) Type in "Howard" on the search function of said app.
3) Listen to one of the streams.
Simple.

whats the point of Sirius if you can't get what you pay for? NO sports what so ever...For me is MLB so for that i get MLB at Bat at lest they let you now stream the games,pics and audio so Adios Sirius
Funny, maybe they will realize the only good programming they offer is Howard. Sirius is quite horrible.
Don't either bother downloading this. Seriously, it sounds like 28kbps... ON WIFI. I only tested it on wifi, so I can't tell you how it sounds on 3g let alone edge. But it can't get any worse. Pandora, Slacker, etc etc. Sounds much better in my opinion
NO HOWARD STERN!!! Who does sirius think is more than 1/2 of their listeners. Martha Stewart sure as hell didn't get 5,000,000 people to subscribe.

i'm a sirius fan so listening to octane at the gym is a plus. Regular radio sucks!

No, to run in the background you have to jailbreak, install Backgrounder, then you're good. Thanks again Apple for letting me wait till 3.0 is jailbroken.
No 100/101. This is the last straw. I almost cancelled when they blocked starplayr. This sealed the deal. I'm cancelling at 6:01 am est. Everyone that only listens to Sirius should cancel until they open the stream. This is a sad day.
This app stinks. I pay enough per year for all my radios, and get online, but now they want even more money each month to use this app, screw that. Total crap.
If you are already a online subscriber you don't have to pay anything...
I have lifetime and it's free online howard & music but NOT with the sirius APP. They want 2.99 even for lifetimer's. B.S. They better fix this.
I'm already a subscriber online don't pay the 2.99 because of my lifetime. when I log into sirius app it says 'preminum' required.
I have an online sub that comes with my prepaid account. Now they want *another* $3/month for the iPhone app. So, no, being able to stream through a web browser does not mean necessarily mean one gets to stream via the app.
If I wanted crappy music channels I can turn on the FM radio in any vehicle I drive. That's what I have Pandora for. Where the F is Howard? I've been waiting for this app since Starplayr was announced and banned. Back to the crappy Pocket Tunes, at least it has the content we want.

Ok so I let my xm subscription run out after the pandora app was released thinking to myself wtf am I paying for this. Now they release an app ... Like that changes anything.
I rock to Slacker App. If you you use it, you will love it. The music does not repeat continously like on XM/Sirius. Slacker rules.

it makes no sense that there's an icon for Playboy Radio of all channels and there are no Howard Stern icons for his stations. Maybe Apple and ATT were too afraid to add them because everyone would be listening to the streaming content and overload ATT's towers. The Playboy Radio station, btw, doesn't connect and comes up with an error message. C'mon SiriusXM....you can do better than this!
