AIRPod looks dorky, makes friends easily
Following in the footsteps of its bigger brother, the AIRPod is a zero-emissions vehicle capable of reaching 50mph and requiring only air and your dignity for its fuel. Makers MDI are set to begin production by the end of the year, while Air France and KLM have already signed up to use the quirky-looking cars for airport shuttle duty. Nick Kurczewski of Inside Line got to test out a prototype and came away with mixed feelings, liking the 90 mile cruising range and "penny per mile" running costs, but finding the ride a bit bumpy. What happens when someone pollute Air inside this Airpod?
I need to burn rubber with the "GT" version!
The tiny 180cc, two-cylinder engine is rated at 5.4 horsepower and 11 pound-feet of torque with 261 psi of air pressure. An MDI spokesperson explains to us that upgrades will also boost power for the upcoming AIRPod GT model to 6 kW — still just 8 hp.
In other news... no thanks.
I don't really mind the way it looks, especially for the efficiency, it kinda looks like Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo's helmet when its closed
"From the set designers of Logan's Run & V comes AIRPod!"
Seriously, this thing is straight out of a Sci-Fi Original Movie...not in a good way either.
