Steve Jobs back to work at Apple
And he's back, folks. Six months after Steve Jobs took a medical leave from Apple due to health reasons, the company has announced that he's back on the job, working a "few days a week" on the Apple campus and from home the remainder. Of course, we'd been hearing of Steve's continual involvement in "key aspects" of Apple's business for a while now, so this seems like more of a rubber stamp on the status quo than a major change, but now that it's official we're sure the questions from shareholders and other interested parties regarding Steve's health will only grow louder and more insistent -- especially given the news of his liver transplant earlier this year. We'll see how Apple decides to handle the situation when the time comes -- until then, we're just thankful that he's returned and is doing well.

@Major4Play: Me too, Firefox 3.5 RC2 on Windows 7 x64.
I can just imagine Steve Ballmer now, choking the life out of his hired voodoo doctor...
"Damn you! Can't you see?! It didn't work!"
Ballmer, is that you?
you mean they've gone back to the retro rainbow logo? sweet!
...and the OP is deleted.
...and my comment makes no sense anymore.
engadget, join the 21st century and add an edit button. if apple can do it, so can you.
BREAKING NEWS: shaunisadirty rages and foams at the mouth about Apple on Engadget again.
Welcome back Steve!
This is when you start wishing that those head-pods from Futurama were real. :P
He's back in black!!!
I hope he looks better than that picture. I'm skinny but that picture gives me the heebie-jeebies.
Hurray! the Messiah (TM) has returned.
The man is the ultimate comeback kid! I have never heard of anyone having so many second chances... kicked from his old company, executes the greatest corporate coup ever and takes it all back bringing Apple to a whole new level. Gets cancer, wins that battle, then his liver dies, and he gets a new one... BTW I think he paid a lot of money to get to the front of the line for livers and I wonder how many people were ahead of him who now has a lower chance of survival because of his privileged status.
Head inside a Jar is not considered as "fully" there
nice to see he is improving health wise and glad to see him back as promised, Steve's keynotes are all part of the Apple magic :O) as for all the posters making derogatory remarks you really need to get a life!
I need this. My cup runneth over with photos and music.
Will you replace my exploded MacBook battery now? Please?
I need this. My cup runneth over with photos and music.
STEVE is the MAN !!!!
Welcome back.
You shouldn't say stuff like that.
Every time Engadget posts something about Apple it gets over 100 comments, but everything else gets like 30 comments.
Dude should really change jeans and t-shirt. He must stink man.
he's probably alcoholic to, thats why he had a liver transplantation=)
-Get your life right Dude!!!!!
yay XD
I stand corrected, demon eyes withstanding, no-one knows when anyone will die.
no one cares
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY!!!
YEA BOYYYYYYY!!!!!
Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, and Billy Mays have to die but epic snob douche-canoe Steve Jobs lives on... THERE IS NO GOD!
Did you seriously just compare Billy Mays to Steve Jobs... favorably? I'm sorry, could you remind me again exactly what Billy Mays contributed to society as we know it? It's funny, I don't see Wall Street going crazy because Billy Mays died, do you?
OH NOES, a TV infomercial salesman died. WHATEVER WILL WE DO NOW?
@Zak
NO MORE SALES
THE ECONOMY WILL GO BUST!
WE'RE DOOMED I TELL YOU.
Anyway, regardless of who he was or anything, it sucks that he had to die. Truly.
Sh*t, he's not dead yet?
"Steve Jobs back to work at Apple"... and not a soul cares.
Welcome back - and best wishes for a healthy and happy recovery
Welcome back, Steve!
This is the cancer that's killing /Apple/
welcome back :)
I think this is great news! It's made my day finding out about Steve's return to Apple. I have been a mac user for years, as well as a user of Windows and Linux and Apple have always been a firm winner with me, buy a long shot. Steve Job's has made a great contribution to the success of Apple and I hope that he continues to do so now that he's back with my favorite computer manufacturer.
