iPhone OS 3.1 beta now available for developer community

Update: Still tinkering, but we've seen a new "Save a Copy" option for 3G S video editing that lets you retain the original film while saving an edited clip (picture after the break, thanks Kevin), as well as some reports of MMS being activated, but it seems to stall before actually being sent out over AT&T's network.
[Thanks to everyone who sent this in!]

Hopefully they'll finally enable Bluetooth on the Touch.
does anyone know or tried changing songs with their bluetooth headset on 3.1? I hope it has full AVRCP support.
@murmermer: I'm 200% sure that was sarcasm.
i want Google Maps to be seperated from the Apple firmware updates so Google can update Maps more often than Apple upgrades the iPhone firmware......I want more detailed metadata for transit directions that's available in the regular webpage but's not currently available for iPhone (stuff like train line/bus line logos and detailed Transit Operator info with prices (where available) and bus/train stop locations via Stop ID's for agencies that support this...)
I believe the Maps app is not really google's. It's developed in-house by Apple utilizing information from google.
For once canada actually got something before the states in terms of technology. I have full MMS and Tethering with Rogers and i am loving it :D Cant wait for 3.1 to come out so the dev team releases the Jailbreak finally!
Canada? Didn't Obama say that was one of the 57 states?
Does anyone find it ironic that the new iphone totes faster speeds etc and it seems as though plenty of iphone 3g users have complained about slower iphone speeds across the board??
I heard a rumor that voice control is now working over Bluetooth for 3GS folks. I really hope that's true!
I hope that this firmware sorts out the fact that the iPhone 3G is now noticably slower when say drivng in the car with 3G, GPS and music all in use... anyone else getting lag issues? And overheating?
When will Apple put shuffle-by-album capability into iPhone/iPod Touch? Apple says that the iPhone/iPod Touch is supposedly the "best iPod ever," yet it doesn't have shuffle-by-album function, something that the regular iPods have been able to do for a while.
@Running Gadget Actually since I upgraded everything is slow. The system lags upon opening every app, even official Apple apps. It's been very frustrating. And turned using my phone into a terrible user experience at this point.
maybe it'll fix the ipod where it left off. Whenever I move from car to office and plug in headphones (line in on car) and double tap home to bring it up and hit play it always starts the shuffle over. Never picks up where it left off. Thats about my only gripe. As well as things being slower.
Does the call status bar actually do anything when running say Safari in landscape mode, or is this a problem that only I've been having? I have the original software on my 3G S and don't have the 3.1 beta.
Does anyone know yet if 3.1 breaks the previous tethering hack for at&t via the mobileconfigs file? (the website that all you do is point your safari browser on the phone to and click install)
i'm curious to see when they'll put out another release to put out all these problems. i'm glad you can save the video edits, though!
