I put in 60 laps/day in a 25yd US pool at a normal 60s/lap pace. I've had one of these watches for a few weeks now and have not been able to make it count consistently. At best, it is much less accurate than my counting. Sometimes it times out in the middle of my swim and exits counting mode! Also, only metric units are available. It still works as a sports watch with a chrono, etc, but so far I can't recommend it. I would happily trade mine for a standard $50 sports watch .
The phone has 256MB of RAM and a 1GHz processor, which do the job reasonably well, though the Anna interface will likely leave something to be desired for many smartphone users.
