Sony Ericsson "Rachael" Android XPERIA handset unveiled?
Hello, beautiful. Danish phone site Mobil has uncovered "internal documents" on what appears to be Sony Ericsson's upcoming Android-based handset, an XPERIA number codenamed Rachael. Under the hood is a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, HSPA and an 8 megapixel camera. It's unclear how big the touchscreen is, and other details are scarce -- there is a 3.5mm headphone jack, so that's nice, but unless we're severely misguided, there doesn't seem to be a slide-out keyboard tucked away inside this thin chassis.

+1 on all the positive notes.
Here's hoping to Sprint picking up some slack and pick up this bad boy whenever it does come out for real. Sprint has "promised" a better Android phone than the G1 forever and a day ago! Get to it!
Hopefully it will come with some tmobile 3g support.
@iDavey,
What phones are you talking about by chance? Do they have an App store bigger than the iPhone? Can they edit MS Office documents like WinMo? Can they manage all of your contacts from all of your social networking sites like the Pre? Do they have a browser that can display the full real internet like Android? Can they deliver instant Push e-mail and sync contacts with Exchange as well as easily as a Blackberry? Maybe they have 3-D video game capabilities that the iPhone can't match? Or media playing abilities that the Pre can't handle? And on top of all of that, can your phones beat the
Mini-USB? I thought the new standard was microUSB.
Oh well, if it is released by the time my current contract ends, it may be a new contender for my next phone. Currently it's Hero or Pre.
That's sexy!
Nice Bladerunner/DADoES reference.
I think thath the binomial Sony Ericsso - Android has no rivals! and this is the proof.
DallasM:
Nearly every phone i see i think is better than the iPhone, 1. it's screen is large, but lacks pixel count, 2. it's battery is welded in so you can't replace it without sending it off to the repair shop, 3. The camera is RUBBISH and is still rubbish in the new 3GS. 4. The app store is almost pathetic.
