We aren't usually so taken in by a KIRF. In fact -- we've seen so many knockoff iPhones, we had started to consider ourselves steeled against their charms -- and then along came Hello Kitty Phone 3G. What is it about HKP3G that we love so much, you ask? Is it the happily tooled pink background scene on the facade of the phone? Is it the hideously realized user interface, complete with typos and a blatant disregard for capitalization standards we've all respected since the 19th century? Is it the little kitty on the solo button? Is it the name? Is it the fact that, at $99, it would cost us just as much to own one as a real, actual, iPhone 3G? Answer: it's all of those things. We're getting one. There's another shot of this masterpiece after the break.

Not as bad as a link someone sent me the other day to a hello kitty ball gag...My brain inverted there for a few minutes trying to understand....WHY? And then I got it with supreme clarity. To the hellokittienities HK must be on all things for a zen like peace to be obtained. I now believe HK is turning into a religion....fear the disciples of the kitty, for they will bring about the downfall of man!!! Seriously though ball gag....no...just no....and no again.

Ebay is loaded with the iPhone fakes from CECT.....including some that go so far as to put the Apple logo on the back of the phone. Every one of them has awful icon/menu fonts and craptacular build quality.

There is a virus that is loosely related to H1N1 that causes a swelling in the brain. The only relief is to collect HK items that cause a feedback loop in the brain in the frontal lobe. This causes a dopamine increase in the cerebral cortex. So once the swelling goes down people are then addicted to HK for life.
Either that or people just have bad taste.
