I had just got the Touch Diamond 6 months ago. Microsoft was making it seem like the marketplace wasn't gonna be supported on older devices running 6.1, and HTC already has the Touch Diamond 2 out so it looked like I wasn't gonna be getting a 6.5 upgrade. Basically that kind of pissed me off so I got rid of it.
The N9 has arrived. What we can say from our first experience is that we're in the presence of a fantastically designed device with a gorgeous AMOLED screen and some highly responsive performance.

PPCGeeks or XDA-Devs
It's SOOOOO simple to unlock and flash a Diamond to WM 6.5.
The ROM's are very mature and stable, and most on their 3rd iterations by now.
There really is no excuse.
I tried custom roms, there was always a problem.
Also I prefer to stay stock.
