Bang & Olufsen's BeoTime alarm clock / remote favors a flute
Bang & Olufsen -- the Danish boutique retailer famous for engineering gorgeous AV products that only a sliver of humanity can afford -- has just introduced its newest product, and it's a far cry from the gargantuan HDTVs and superfluous sound systems that it's used to shipping. Designed by Steffen Schmelling and inspired by Mozart's The Magic Flute, this elongated wireless alarm clock actually serves another purpose. Once it has awoken you from your slumber just in time to catch The Price Is Right in high-def, you can take it with you in order to control some of your other B&O components. The cubes you see are actually displays, and the built-in motion sensor enables display backlights to activate with a simple touch. We're told that the device should hit showrooms this August for $375, though you should probably budget for an anger management course to keep from smashing this thing to bits the first time it buzzes at 5:30AM.

Why is she smiling and looking so restful?
Dreaming about her hugely overpriced flutey alarm clock thing?
She found another use for it?
Because that's how I leave them the next morning.
I guess for most guys on the internet a look of regret would be more familiar...
::OH SNAP::
That's because she went toot toot under the sheets and now she can blame that flute looking thing. LOL
So this one time at band camp...lol
Finish your story, darnit...
I'd hit that.
Bangin' Olufsen
Sid & Marty Kroft should have been brought in as design consultants.
How long before we have a story of someone being bludgeoned to death with one on CSI Miami or Desperate Housewives?
The clock's ticking! (punn intended).
ba, zing.
Obligatory:

...and you spelled "pun" wrong...
I heard the SS were recruiting grammar Nazis
in b4 Gibson.
Seriously, if there is one company that needs to go out of business it is B&O.
I mean, is there actually people that buys these overpriced crapgadgets?
Yeeeup... I have a pair of their earphones, have to say their engineering is brilliant... but I hardly fall into their target demographic! Speaking of which... I was walking by my local B&O store over here in Leeds (UK) and I swear I was astounded at the couple inside being given the royal treatment... he was an elderly silver-haired fella with a well manicured goatee, wearing a blue beret a pink shirt, half moon glasses and a cravat, I don't know why but he seemed like either a photographer/possible painter/artist or an architect- not sure how I inferred that but he was such a character it seemed unfathomable he'd be something else. His missus seemed very genteel, with an air of grace about her. Her hat though was frikkin' crazy! It's something like what they wear here at national horse racing events!.... anyway more to the point, there are people out there that buy B&O but they're probably not much like us plebs.
Clearly you are miss informed on the quality of B&O products yes some like this clock are over priced gift items but some of the products like the beolab 5 speakers are as good if not better than anything else in there price range.
I'm in love... And yeah, the clock looks nice.
She spent all her money on an expensive alarm clock, she had none left for bedsheets.
I was wondering the same thing.....
The bed itself, is a masterpiece. It's made by Hästens, hence the reason there are no sheets on it. How would anyone know it was a Hästens bed if there were sheets on it? It makes sense that B & O would have that in their ad as well.
They are the most luxurious beds made.
Who would buy that garbage?
Smoke and a pancake? How 'bout a bong and an alarm clock?
$375 for an alarm clock says you either have way too much money or you are stupid (perhaps both).
There is nothing "stupid" about, A) having too much money; and, B) having the means to buy what you like*, regardless of cost.
Must have had a few too many hash brownies
Looks cool. All B&O products do to me! I just love their use of anodized aluminum. Makes all their products looks so slick/clean! I'm sure I'll have to end up buying a few for the bedrooms. After all, my B&O equipment is begging me for some new friends to play with. :)
Ein Mädchen oder Weibchen
Wünscht Papageno sich
O so ein sanftes Täubchen
Wär Seligkeit für mich.
Dann schmeckte mir Trinken und Essen;
Dann könnte' ich
mit Fuersten mich messen,
Des Lebens als Weiser mich freun,
und wie im Elysium sein.
Ach, kann ich denn keiner von allen
den reizenden Mädchen gefallen?
Helf' eine mir nur aus der Not,
Sonst gräm¹ ich mich wahrlich zu Tod.
Wird keiner mir Liebe gewähren,
So muss mich die Flamme verzehren;
Doch küsst mich ein weiblicher Mund,
so bin ich schon wieder gesund.
very artistic
nice
but a classic "wake up, bitch!" is 99% more effective, for free and way more fun.
Bang & Olufsen really should consider using designers again..
Aww poor girl. She spent all her money on that silly alarm clock, and didn't have enough left over for sheets.
Stop it with the sheets comments already! If you don't know, that checkered mattress is a Hastens mattress! One of the most expensive mattresses made (starting at around $12K up to around $65K). So it's usually not covered with sheets when one buys one. It's a statement, just like B&O products. Not trying to sound like a snob here (and no, I do not own a Hasten mattress), but just thought I'd inform people on here about the reason you don't see a fitted sheet on the bed.
Best regards
Did she spend so much on the alarm clock that she couldn't afford sheets?!?!
Jethro Tull approves of this alarm clock.
She's apparently very happy that she got this fancy new clock, but alas she lacks the brain power to orient it in a direction which would allow her to SEE the current time.
Frank Zappa approved this too!!!!
