T-Mobile's BlackBerry Curve 8520 launching on August 5th at Walmart?
You have to look closely but in the text of the message above circulated around Wal-mart you can clearly make out a date for the launch of the BlackBerry Curve 8520. So August 5th it is, under a two-month exclusive retail arrangement according to our Walmart-employed tipster. That's the same date T-Mobile will be shipping out its myTouch 3G for those keeping track. That jibes with what looks to be an 8520 "Sneak Preview" pre-launch party kicking off on July 20th and scheduled to run for two weeks. See the invite after the break.
Update: Looks like one has already hit eBay. Thanks, Ben!

When will Blackberry finally stop taking drugs and awaken to putting 3G on all of it's models!!

When carriers can support it, I mean, really support it. (T-Mobile has laughable 3G compared to Sprint)

Will T-Mobile also offer it at their stores as well? Or will Walmart be the only carrier of this phone?

Dudes, I with you on the whole 3G thing, but don't miss the hugeness of this phone. A NEW BlackBerry for under $100. Not an AT&T refurb; not last years model (although the features are a bit "last year"); but a new BlackBerry for the masses. While I wait patiently for my T-Mo 3G BlackBerry, T-Mobile should be raking in some serious cash selling cheap BlackBerries and affordable data plans to kids and families who don't need and can't afford all the services 3G enables.
Now I can only hope they reinvest some of that cash into wider 3G coverage.
