Nintendo shatters dreams, has "no plans" to ship black Wii console in USA

Seriously Nintendo, what is it? Do you hate freedom? Are you still bitter about the US reception to your underwhelming GameCube? Whatever the case, we're never going to forgive you for this one. After waiting for years for a Wii in any color other than glossy white, it seems that only the Japanese will be able to enjoy the sleek, sexy and altogether drool-worthy black Wii console. In fact, a rep for the Big N informed GameDaily that there are "no plans to have other colors of the Wii in the United States." As for us? We're plugging our ears and pretending this "individual" has no idea what he / she is talking about. And weeping, uncontrollably.

Should of came out sooner I would have bought it instead but seeing how I own a white wii I really don't care why would I want another box attach to my television taking up space. Good for them for not wanting to sell.

Little tip: They advise that you don't paint plastic but to dye it, paint will chip off and give poor results, although there are plastic primers too though, just make sure you do a little research first.
But even so, painting is a hassle, you need to disassemble then paint/dye then hope all the buttons still work, and you lost warranty since you opened the case very clearly.

There's clearly a market for black, why not cater to it, I thought that was how the capitalistic system worked, but even when they cater to people wanting something like black they suddenly make everything black and people not wanting black are screwed, it's so hopeless.

Is there any law against setting up a factory that swaps cases of products then resells them while acknowledging the original PCB? If not then I'd advise you to stop weeping and get to the bank for a loan to set up such a factory, question remaining is 'do I use the nafta provisions to set up a mexican factory or do I try to get some of that obama money to make up the difference between that and doing it in the US'
